Really good — 6 years ago
Nearly integrated oak although a couple more years would be good. Nice line of acidity — 8 years ago
No new oak, very soft. From arras vineyard. — 8 years ago
Wonderful cold climate Cabernet Sauvignon from just outside of Hobart. Herbaceous almost grassy with a hint of mint. Intense black fruit on the mid-palate with a wonderful grippy kick. Had four of these now over 4 years and yet to be disappointed. The bottle variation is almost nonexistent. — 9 years ago
Really nice structure. Apples and white flowers, rounded minerality but just enough acid at the end. Really nice. — 9 years ago
This years Jimmy Watson winner. Absolutely sensational. Deep rich new world Pinot. Love it! — 10 years ago
Towards the rose side of orange. Clean peach, spice and earth notes supplemented by touch of strawberry and red berries. — 10 years ago
A devilishly good drop — 11 years ago
Excellent....as enjoyable as Noble One sticky — 12 years ago
Stunning. New but not modern. Huge power, beautifully (fully) integrated wood on this pure Sauv Blanc. Insane length and delineation across the palate. Shockwave structure. — 4 years ago
A delicious Tassie Pinot that makes an impression from the outset.
Balanced acidity with flavours of sour cherry and raspberry.
A touch of spice giving it a long finish full of complexity.
Close to perfection. — 5 years ago
Pretty nice pinot, on the thicker side, reminds me of zinfandel. Dried dark cherry and almonds. Cherries linger in the aftertaste. — 8 years ago
Lovely and creamy — 8 years ago
Nice Tassy Riesling, great acidity. Aged nicely. — 8 years ago
Honeysuckle, lime, lemon, seashells and slight flor-sherry like characteristics. Off dry, good line and length with a slightly saline feel to it. — 10 years ago
Great value for money. — 10 years ago
Smooth and drinkable. Will be on my Xmas list 😄 — 11 years ago
Awesome wine bursting with flavour and great length and finish. Looks good young, am sure it will age gracefully — 11 years ago
Very pale lemon in colour. Tasted after the Premier Cru Hubert Lamy and similar in many ways - the texture, the acid, the citrus the subdued oak influence, but not as much minerality or salinity. Made by Sue Bell at her Bellwether winery in Coonawarra from Chardonnay grapes from the Tamar River in Tasmania. A good wine in the leaner style - showing the quality of Tasmanian Chardonnay. Consistent notes 88 weeks later on 9th December 2020. Chablisesque. Grapefruit notes. Still bracing acidity. — 6 years ago
Lazy hazy washing down Peat's Bite. — 8 years ago
Smoky enough but in balance -really enjoyed this one — 8 years ago
A little more melow aromatic-wise than one may forecast but this wine is looking super, super youthful. There is a slight spice and toast to the new peering through. Bright aromas of peach, candied grapefruit, cashew and watermelon chupa chup are the most present initially. Texturally quite creamy, crisp acid and quite decent length too. — 9 years ago
Nice balance of oak and mineral but fruit slightly loses out. Dry and med length. — 9 years ago
Fun but a little simple — 10 years ago
This Tasmanian winery make four different Rieslings based on different residual sugar levels. — 10 years ago

Tuesday the 26th of January was Australia Day and a public holiday. What better way to celebrate than Australia’s best fizz Arras Grand Vintage from Tasmania. Quite light lemon in colour. Very citrussy and mineral on the nose. 7 years on Lees showing in the complexity of the palate which still shows tension and refreshment. See previous notes for the 2007 which was slightly better and Champion Wine of the Royal Brisbane Show. — 4 years ago
