Excellent especially on day 2. Beat the Cornelia pretty easily in my book — 6 years ago
Abe Schoener of Scholium Project is planning an urban winery in LA and gave a tour of the location he is trying to secure in an industrial area along the concrete banks of the Los Angeles River. Fittingly, the area was a vineyard in the 1800’s. Will be a couple of years before this comes to fruition, but an interesting plan. This wine was consumed from Solo Cup, so the score may not be fair. A Merlot Sangiovese blend on the riper end of the spectrum, but the tannins have softened since the last time I had this. — 7 years ago
Very nice blend, smooth. Hints of Syrah on back mouth — 9 years ago
Big time flavor in this stout from Central Waters. A slight hoppiness quickly gives way to a smooth and vaguely sweet middle, which lingers just a moment or two before the big, grainy, bitter finish characteristic of imperial stout takes over. — 9 years ago

Ethereal (circa 1510): of the highest regions of the atmosphere; (from 1590s) an extended sense of light or air. In a boxing match, this featherweight Veyder-Malberg will light you up. In the mountains, it’s the stone you sick and the air you breathe at the solitude of 11,000 feet. — 5 years ago
Aged to a nice mellow prune, raisin, fig profile. — 8 years ago
This was the GSM (as opposed to the Shiraz that was matched by the database). $30 a bottle. Very nice. Would recommend/gift. — 8 years ago
Nice full bodied white from Bordeaux.

Exceptional. Well aged. Very complex. Leather and stone. Opened a bottle of solitude to celebrate my daughter's birth. — 9 years ago
3.4. Fine Graves, but not very memorable. On sale for $28.49, regularly $29.99. — 3 years ago
Uh, 1972? I opened this alongside a 78 Solitude CdP. This does not taste like aged CdP, and it has 14.5% ABV...This must have been topped up with younger wine. On the nose: modern CdP with a hint of age; coffee garrigue, dried raspberry. On the palate: ok acidity, soft green, coffee, and attenuated tannin on the finish. — 4 years ago

Nice balance but would prefer a bit more oak. — 9 years ago
