We really enjoyed this well balanced wine. — 8 years ago
Marston put out a well above average 2011 (not many in the region are able to lay claim to that with this vintage) despite being a bit thin and just slightly vegetal--a product of a cold and wet vintage. — 9 years ago
Black cherry, raspberry currant, licorice, dried herbs, dusty leather and oak. Great structure and well-integrated tannins. — 10 years ago
1999 Spring Mountain Vineyard Reserve Red, #Napa. Holding up very well at 15 yrs. Intense aromas of ripe currant, black cherry & graphite intertwined with black olive, cedar and slight herbal notes. Soft & round; velvety texture. Cabernet Sauv, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Cab Franc. #wine #sommelier #cabernet #springmountain #cali — 12 years ago
Perhaps the very best value of 2011 @ 2012... Bold and full of sediment but so well worth the $22 you'll pay... This is a crowd pleaser when the crowd knows wine... This is Chateau Chevalier..... — 14 years ago
A blend of 93% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Cabernet Franc & 2% Petit Verdot, aged for 22 Months in new French oak, 4,408 cases made. Deep Ruby with developing aromas of red and black fruits and notes of oak, mushroom and forest floor. On the palate flavors of blackberry, cherry and black plum with a meaty stewed fruit charm, some sweet spice, cacao and herb notes. Fine structured soft tannins well integrated, long finish, ending with dried fruit character adding leather, nutty notes and oak. Outstanding, drinking well starting to develop tertiary aromas flavors! Tasting Sample. — 7 years ago
Lots of fruit, nice and light, well balanced. — 7 years ago
Blackberry, cassis, cherry, vanilla, plum, mocha, oak, licorice and eucalyptus. Great structure and well-integrated tannins. — 9 years ago
06' Lokoya Spring MT. Another wine that you truly appreciate after several years in the bottle. Quite tannic in it's youth. It certainly has come together now.
Purple in color. Full bodied & made in 100% new oak. The oak is certainly well infused with this Spring Mountain Cab. Gorgeous black and blue fruits. A bit of sweetness/earthiness. Polished tannins & a finish that seems to go on forever. — 9 years ago

Deep red, smooth, great bouquet, well-balanced, and a black peppery finish! Delish!!! — 10 years ago
If someone for some wild reason gave you a red bell pepper creme brûlée, this is what it would smell like. Loving my napa cabs lately, especially 09s. Young but developing really well here. Black plums and dates on the nose, blackberry reduction on the palate. Mossy earth and a nutmeg and fennel like spice to it. Long finish that really impresses. — 10 years ago

Great story behind the wine. And she is holding up extremely well. Sous bios with a hint of VA complement the red cherry fruit and forest floor. 87s turning out to challenge 85/86, and a shade behind 84. — 12 years ago
Nice Cab Franc from SV. These tend to get better with age, this vintage is a great example of that. Smooth, almost some coffee undertones, earthy as well. Nice wine. — 7 years ago
It was 19 in TX Tues, hailed yesterday, and is 80 degrees today. Welcome to spring in TX.
I love the info on the back of these bottles as they give detail to the base vintage and when they were disgorged. This is ‘08 base, disgorged 2017.
Right up my alley. I’d call this oxidative, but not overly so. There is a Krug-ness about this style. It’s toasty and savory with a little caramel, toffee and baked apple. Creamy. For my personal taste, while I enjoy all champagne cold, this is one of the few styles that holds up well even once it warms up slightly as there isn’t a lot of tartness here. — 7 years ago

2005 vintage. Ranier cherries. Great balance of fruit and structure, nice length. Had it with a well prepped ribeye and it was perfect. — 9 years ago
Good blend. Shines more with food. (Went well with a savory casserole. ) 2012 — 10 years ago
Extrodinary. Smooth, complex and soft tannins. Paired well with rib eye. — 10 years ago
Very pale slightly green tinged straw color with appealing petrol, stone fruit, lime, wet stone, and a hint of lychee aromas. On the palate it approaches medium-bodied and is dry, clean, focused, and well-structured with peach, lime, passion fruit and mineral flavors. Long persistent finish. 12.5% alcohol. Made from 40 year old vines. SRP - $27 — 11 years ago
Bright and well structured delightful Shiraz — 12 years ago
