Dear Uruguayan sommelier in the random restaurant on Avenida Santa Fe, thank you for introducing us to this dark, voluptuous fruit of the Patagonian desert (see photo of the earth of the vineyard on the label). Rubis translucide. Nez de petits fruits rouges, un peu de terre et d’épices. En bouche c’est plus expressif, le délice à la beaujolaise et ce vin ce boit seul. Saveurs de baies rouges, d’épices et léger aspect floral. L’acidité y est parfaite et rafraichissante. Vin de soif, sans se prendre au sérieux, mais sans décevoir par manque de complexité. Très bien (90)

Anselmet Petit Rouge 2012. Such an alluring nose of sweet red fruits, balsamic, and smoked plum. Dear Jesus I love this grape when it's done right. And Anselmet does not play around. It's never heavy or serious but instead an unbelievably compelling vin de soif. Really reminds me of Pelaverga at times, or maybe a Cerasuolo Nero d'Avola / Frappato blend. — 13 years ago
