1999 vintage. At Boca di Lupo in Soho. Medium ruby hue. Very expressive nose of blackberry, black plum and smokey bacon, leather tan and earth. The wine is developing nicely. On the palate, there's high acidity, medium alcohol, medium plus body and medium plus crunchy tannins. The finish is long. There's full concentration on this wine - flavours similar to the aromas on the nose. An excellent example of Clape's Cornas. Drink now until 2026+ — 9 years ago

Loved how juicy it was with our pesto gnocchi. Drank with Chelsea at Ciccio in SoHo & paid $40 for a bottle.

I bought a case of this delicious Barolo a while ago and am delighted every time I open a bottle. Texturally this is a wonderfully attractive wine. Both ripe and floral, it lingers powerfully and yet with lightness. One of two Vietti wines enjoyed at Antique Garage's original location is Soho (having enjoyed some haloumi the week prior at the new location, I was back for more). — 8 years ago
2004 vintage. At Boca di Lupo in Soho. Medium tawny hue. On the nose, wonderful aromas similar to between a tawny port or even an Oloroso sherry. Lots of sweet spices, sherried oxidative notes, walnuts and dates, dried fruits. Quite complex. On the palate, high acidity keeps the wine very fresh and there's some power and concentration of flavours. Good length on the finish. Really enjoyable. Drink now but suspect this will improve and keep on going for many years to come: 2030+. — 9 years ago
Buenos Aires, January 2019 with Angela and Norma at Borges 2018 in Palermo Soho Airbnb. Bought around corner at Vinosfera Wine Gallery. Delicious. — 6 years ago
Swung by The Dutch, a sceney Soho spot, to see a dear friend who was branching there. This Champagne has some nice toasty notes, a good degree of acidity and fresh lime elements. Good by itself and, if one were so inclined for brunch, I'm sure it would be good with a dash of orange. I wasn't so inclined, this time. — 7 years ago
