#RiojaBuzz Light colored garnet hues starting to recede near the rim. Funky, dirty, sexy aromas, wrapped around drying strawberries and dark plums, and savory underbrush flavors seduce you with each sip and slurp. The tannins are silky, the finish is long and the pairing opportunities are endless! A classic #Rioja gem not to be missed! — 11 years ago
Possibly the only Torbato you'll find stateside, the Terre Bianche vineyard delivers a complex, mineral driven, dry wine which seems to boast a thousand years of seabed sediment in each sip and slurp! A bit of lemon peel rinds on the nose and dried citrus notes on the long, pleasing finish. For fans of wines with blazing acid and layers of minerality, this is the wine for you! $19 — 12 years ago

Deutz 'William Deutz' 1999, Ay, since 1983 in the hands of Louis Roederer, slight different philosophy, all wines undergo malolactic fermentation, which explains their rich and expansive texture. Very likeable and slurp-able, with its upfront tropical fruit, spice, toastiness and butterscotch flavour. Serious price tag though... — 12 years ago

If you're not a Tablas Creek fan yet, bottles like this will convince you. Mourvèdre, Tannat and Grenache come together to wow you from the first slurp, to the last drop! This winery is Paso Robles at its best, the west is best. Anyone sensitive to high abv, you'll immediately be freighted away by the 14.5%. — 12 years ago
