Dense red currant is ‘wrassled’ down by fennel aromas, mint and black cherry with strawberry and blackberry hidden beneath its thick canopy of fern and forrest; including moss and mushroom. Actually amazing! Not going to ever guess that this herbaceous monster with rim to rim colt density is an 11 yr old Calistoga! Meaty notes of grill and marinated fungi. Celeriac root, fennel and licorice notes define this angel with a minty coolness persisting! Blackberry and black cherry emerge in the finale to shine like young wine despite the years!#Larkmead #2007cab #Calistoga #Napa #napacab — 7 years ago
Sweeter than I normally drink, but man does it go down easy. — 10 years ago
Very good from would like to lay it down for a couple years and revisit. — 12 years ago
OK, I’m in. This English sparkling wine thing is legit. Fresh, crisp and nicely balanced toasty biscuit character. — 6 years ago
Outstanding cab/merlot blend. Sister of sexual chocolate. Excellent price point. Around $20. — 7 years ago
One of my favourite wines. Crisp white. Not too acidic. Enjoy it again and again — 7 years ago
Drinkable now or lay down. Plum, leather, dark cherry. Jordan cabs are classics and always reliable. What got me hooked on wine. — 9 years ago
Still young, a bit restrained, but this has the makings of being a baller tatt down the road.... — 10 years ago
This 2011 vintage has a bright future. I would lay this beauty down for another 5-10 years before revisiting. — 10 years ago
Very nice and balanced the whole way thru. It could have rested a lot longer for sure, glad I have a few more laying down. Good night friends see you in a year or two. — 11 years ago
Lekkerste rose die ik tot nu toe gehad heb. Licht droog en bloemig van smaak. — 6 years ago
Hollis and I loved this. Smooth, easy to drink. — 6 years ago
So beautiful and clear in its purpose, titillating on the nose and fulfilling its promises beyond. Balanced and velvety dark red fruit, hints of black tea and cassis but all in a more Old than New World Gestalt. Lots of secondary stuff emerging you just want to sip it slowly. If anybody wonders how well these age, track one down, it’s so worth it. Kudos @Cathy Corison for making this distinctive and enduring bottle! — 7 years ago

This 2008 was cellared for almost five years after purchased in 2012. Consumed Nov 2015, the best way to describe this delight is that "it melts in your mouth". You do not even feel it as it goes down, the taste begins with its scents as soon as it hits your palate. Delightfully fruity with cherry, blackberry and jam. — 10 years ago
Hands down the best wine I have ever had. The depth and complexity were outstanding — 10 years ago
I'm down with this! Very approachable pinot that is easy to pair with foods and not too expensive! Show up to a gathering with this and people will not only love the taste but the fact it is called OPP.....yeah, you know me! — 10 years ago

An absolutely stunning lunch from @joe leatherwood today. 1 sparkler, 2 whites, 5 reds and 1 dessert wine. All served blind.
What a total treat. My second glass of this was very different from the first glass. At first, I was getting a lot of honeyed tropical fruits with a good bit of yeast, but then it was more bright, and had caramelized Granny Smith apple notes and classic chalky limestone. This is right down the middle in terms of reductive vs oxidative. I wish I could have enjoyed this all on its own to give it the attention it deserved. I guessed this was ‘06 Le Mesnil. — 6 years ago
