Nice golden hue, looks heavy and rich in the glass. Honeyed fragrant nose. Notes of sweet apricot, mango, lemon, white clay, tan spice, and stones. Nice intensity in the mouth, with gobs of fruit matched against acidity that built over the afternoon. Telltale aged Raveneau honey, exotic today but not over the top. I brought this and it was the best of the couple or so bottles of it that I've had. Was at its best with ~5 hours of air, and leftover was still singing the next morning. — 6 years ago
09’ This is singing @Mike R Another wine from Mike- If this wasn’t the WOTN, it was damn close. Black fruits, black licorice, blackberry jam, floral notes, smokiness. This is a drop dead gorgeous wine. A very polished wine!! Especially from this vintage. There’s no need to hold onto this any longer. Drink them up in the next 10+ years. — 7 years ago
Nice toluene nose initially. Bright berries and band-aids. Surprisingly tight on the back end. After an hour in the decanter a fantastic bog water nose started to emerge. Gradually opening up, but I think this wine needs another 10-15 years to hit its stride. — 9 years ago
Orange water, stony minerality, pure — 11 years ago
A full-body Pinot! Deep Ruby with berry aromas, floral and garden spice. On the palate ripe strawberry and dried cherry fruit with vanilla spice and cedar notes. The wine is well structured, silky smooth tannins, balanced acidity carry the wine to a lingering spicy finish. Very Nice! — 6 years ago
1993 mag - big bold and beautiful - one hour decant was needed and frighten when cork was cracked when pulling but man this big boy was singing
Now all that said - this wine was absolutely ready to be enjoyed - if sitting on this one better drink it
Color was darkest red and smell had it all with the taste of black fruits and the finish was not the longest but definitely satisfying

Great color just a hint of brown edges. Solid cork. 40 year old Bordeaux just singing! — 9 years ago
Great intensity, acidity and green apple. Long finish — 9 years ago
Light ipa with punch of hops — 10 years ago
This is outstanding. Even after 3+ hours in the decanter, it keeps evolving. Honey, candied citrus, flowers, ripe pineapple, white chocolate strawberry, dark chocolate orange, and apricot. Undercut by freshness throughout. This needs at least 30 min, preferably an hour in the decanter before enjoying. Utterly unique and in its own league. 6 years in barrel and another 6 in bottle before release and this is just singing. — 6 years ago
A glass with sashimi! — 7 years ago

Darker Ruby with aromas of big red fruits and slight spice. On the palate bold black cherry, blackberry and plum with rich tannins around some oak. Well balanced the fruit stays with this wine on a lingering finish. — 9 years ago
Nice Chardonnay. Good for sipping — 10 years ago

Now at the seven year mark, the 2013 Jamet Cote Rotie is absolutely singing in its unbridled elegance. Silky and soft upon entry, the 2013 Jamet shows a pillowy effect as this artfully glides across the mid-palate. The lighter Provencale herb and white pepper tones meld with ripe raspberry and Bing cherry flavors. Bright, showing an intense sense of verve and tension, the long finish truly satisfies. While delightful at this stage, the 2013 Jamet Cote Rotie will have another decade or more ahead of it. This is truly one of the wines of the vintage. Drink 2020-2033- 95 — 5 years ago
