Wonderful nose. Huge value. Already drinking nice — 5 years ago
Interesting but a little too funky for me. Not that I didn’t finish my glass (or two)... — 6 years ago
Still a baby but very promising, with intense mineral and floral character, chewy texture and superb persistence. — 7 years ago
An exceptional biodynamic Champagne which intrigued me ever since my discovery on Laval, Selosse and Léclapart. Stated as NV, but practically used fruits of 2006. Such an intensifying depth of complexity but rather easy and crisp. A bottle of 100% Pinot Meunier that's worth endeavouring without any hesitation. Only thing I need now is MORE. — 9 years ago
Hummm. Hope it fills out — 11 years ago
Notes of plum, earth, soy sauce. I thought tannins were still fairly pronounced but not rough. Lovely pairing with our smoked abalone and black cod….. — 2 years ago

Had this and the 2004 Cristal. Special treats. — 6 years ago
Reduction, slighty sulphuric, flinty smoke. On the 2nd day it opened up with red apples and lemonpeel, still some flint and wet stones, very tight and fresh style. Minerality like drinking a quarry. Amazing value. — 6 years ago
Earthy and smooth.
A no headache red. Love it — 6 years ago
And now some age from the Pic St Loup. — 9 years ago
Wow! An incredible grand cru offering that stands apart from the other Billaud wines. Driven minerality that is restrained by a noticeable but not overpowering oak influence. Hauntingly ethereal, incredible complexity. — 10 years ago
Fortfarande mycket syra kvar. Tropiska frukter och mineraler. — 11 years ago
Another amazing wine from MJ’s cellar, and this time a rare bird made by another Selosse disciple. Almost an antithesis of the voluminous and opulent 80’s Krug Grand Cuvee, this was filigreed, precise, and pure. Not austere though, which these descriptors can sometimes allude to. This had concentration and ripeness, yet remains fresh and airy. Ripe citrus fruits balance some oxidative hazelnut and toffee characters, all framed in a deep mineral and acid cut. Perfect aperitif to the evening and a wine I’d like to try again if it weren’t so difficult to come by. — 3 years ago
In a perfect place. Always love Bize and with some nice age this is great. Excellent pick from the somm at Daniel. Beautifully aromatic with wonderful fruit. Just a slight hint of tannin, but still good lifting acid on the finish. Great pairing with both a skin-on black bass as well as a nice strip loin. Long finish. — 4 years ago
Drinking well! — 6 years ago
Muy bueno, con todas las notas de un buen champagne — 7 years ago

Very interesting and delicious showing how far one can push and still have freshness even with a fairly oxidative style. Cool. — 10 years ago
Wow! This has aged well! Smooth as silk with a little aeration. — 11 years ago

D:2019 Incredibly unique wine. Full on the pallete, coating with sugar, but still so clearly Selosse. — 2 years ago
