Bill is mad because our landlord said we can’t grill on our patio anymore but we’re drinking this wine in shelter island with Sarah and joe and baby Leo and things could be worse. Best rosé I’ve ever had, slight fizz, juicy strawberry, a reminder of the entire summer ahead. — 7 years ago
Anytime I need to see your face I just close my eyes and I am taken to a place where your crystal minds and magenta feelings take up shelter in the base of my spine sweet like a chica cherry cola 🍫🍒🍫 — 10 years ago

Huge jammy first impression with smooth complex fruity finish. Great wine to go with chicken and marinara and shelter-in-place. — 5 years ago
Wow!!!! An impulse buy at NH Liquor in Salem. 95 points from some guy or other, but I almost rate it the same. Delicious at first sip — that forest floor, mossy taste of Boden Essential Red, but the black pepper zing ups the ante. I really love it. It is way better than its price range ($12.99) suggests. Pairs well with a Lifetime Christmas Movie about shelter dogs.

Cigars and ripe red cherries on the nose. Red apples from the Wizard of Oz trees and smoked bing cherry on the palate. Click your heels, Toto. We’re not in Kansas anymore. Grab your broomstick and take flight with this delightful berry manifestation. Or take shelter. This berry hurricane is headed straight for your mouth. — 7 years ago
There are some places in the world where they view present day America as a place where we expect to be happy. Should we feel bad they live in places where you should just expect hardship? We live in a time and place where we can focus on building our inner selves and have a chance at....When we're not constantly putting out fires we can really focus on...should that be a source of shame. When the desperate struggle to find food and shelter is finally behind us, we can turn our attention to other sources of pain and truth.
This is the kinda wine you feel bad about being able to enjoy. I feel privileged. — 7 years ago

Crazy rosé. True 'vin nature' without the flaws. Grenache Noir & Blanc, Carignan and Mourvèdre from the steep hills around Banyuls. Search the internet for pictures of the vineyard & the 'casot' (a stone shelter in the middle of the vineyard). Stunningly beautiful! — 9 years ago
A nice mild, fruity with a hint of citrus. Enjoying with sitting at an outdoor bar at Shelter Cove in Hilton Head Island. — 10 years ago
Fruit forward, smooth tannins, velvety mouthfeel, not overly complex. Paired beautifully with prime T-bone steak. High ABV relatively unnoticeable. — 10 years ago
Day 10 of shelter in place. Delightful, rich and smooth. — 5 years ago
Delicious. Subtle and strong. Had it over a ribeye with the Jaunin in Shelter Island. — 6 years ago

6 puttonyos and we're just getting started. The east coast is shuttered due to a tropical storm but here on Shelter Island the hits keep rolling. Intense apricot citrus and licorice Thanks Rj for spitting a case of this. — 9 years ago
Named after a silent order of monks (the 'Lazarists') that were centered in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, often found providing comfort & shelter for those in need. This wine's a blend made up of Carignan, Grenache, Syrah & Cinsault -- Fresh and Affordable with Notes of Raspberry, Red Currant, Wild Herb... — 9 years ago
Nose of yeast, grapefruit and some herbs. This is great! For the following vintages, they had a different company doing the secondary fermentation (Sektkelterei), so there are differences. But I hear the 2010 and 2011 are great as well. — 10 years ago
