Blackberry and tobacco... Love the balance of sweet and savory. — 7 years ago
Family-owned and operated and founded in 200, the winery's vineyards hug the mountain rims along the south-east edge of High Valley AVA. Rich fruit aromas with nutty spice notes. On the palate ripe apple and pear flavors with honey notes and some citrus tones. Nice mouthfeel, medium finish giving way to big buttery vanilla oak ending. — 7 years ago

Delicate balance of savory, acidity and freshness. Shannon says tart! But I taste a hint of Viognier body and floral complexity. Yummmm — 7 years ago
In 2001 Alan Peirson, Lesley Warner-Peirson, Robbie and Shannon Meyer were enjoying a bottle of wine & discussed a future venture sketching their logo on a cocktail napkin. In the Fall of 2001 they produced their first vintage, 300 cases of RRV Chardonnay. Aged for 8 months in French oak, usual fruit and spice notes. Mellow and creamy, one of the few SB that are oaked, citrus and melon, great acidity, fresh and crisp. Lingering finish ending with a combo of fruit and flowers wrapped in cedar. Very nice — 8 years ago
V14. Best decanted 30-45 minutes. Smokey cedar nose. Big blackberry , tar , pepper, all spice. Round, slightly bitter and green finish. All good, comes together nicely and not over powering. Good with rich, roasted foods , and charcuterie..

So these 2 wines - same varietals, similar compositions, same vineyard and totally different wines - a rose and a big red blend! Enjoyed both very much. Learned that it's the length of time the juice is left to hang out with the dark skins that determines if it's a rose or red wine. I think that's pretty cool and I enjoyed both of these wines with the #fabulousgirlswineclub @Sherri Krastel @Shannon Pollard @Laurie Bodnar @Paula Hiebert — 9 years ago
Shannon brought us some of this home from Jamaica---yummy in coffee...not quite 'wine' for this list but didn't want to forget the name of it in case I find it somewhere.... — 10 years ago

Aroma of plums and dark fruit. Dry tannins upfront with a hint of raisins? with a pucker factor finish. — 8 years ago
Rich, earthy aroma. Nicely structured Zinfandel with pleasant spice notes that linger on the palate. One of the most satisfying Zins I've had in a while. — 8 years ago
Very nice. 2010 was a good year. But not as good as 1995, when I proposed to Shannon at Bottega. — 9 years ago

This one comes from a certified sustainable farm, with blackberry and dried cranberry character, a bit sweet and fruity at the end which makes it perfect for drinking by itself, it won’t go wrong with a nice steak! — 6 years ago
