Love this cuvee. Darker nose than the Les Vergelesses. Tree bark, moss, mid season cherries. Huge minerals. Almost a limestone feeling. Wild apples. Wet earth. Savory. Sweet. Feral and wild. Just stunning. Even some black cherry after some air. Just awesome. Big huge red and black cherry fruit. Lovely electric almost Rieslingesque limestone minerality. Explosive and deep with awesome purity and earthy sweetness. Terrific delineation of flavor and so much material yet so light and delicate even. Only in Burgundy. Super complex and ripe and big tannins suggest even more aging if one desires. — 6 years ago
Man these 16 Thörle Pinots are stunning and will age so so well. They take time to unfurl but once they do your attention is totally captured. Needs coaxing as the Kalkstein did but once it gets going the Grand Cru character of the sites shines through. Deep cherry fruit and an insane perfume start to develop. Mid season cherries. Earthy, mineral and brooding. Pomegranate, wild berries. Just so much. Nuances appear each minute. Really insane spice. Stunning. Palate is stacked with incredible freshness and mid to sour cherry fruit. Lots of it. Terrific spice after 10-15 minutes open. Painfully sweet almost with amazing freshness and terrific length. Still a baby but what a great wine. Needs 3-5 years — 6 years ago
Perfect juicy fresh, early season strawberry notes. Love to death — 8 years ago

Wow. This nose slays. Gorgeous mid to late season cherries. Unreal minerals. Sappy, so clean and so pure. 19 has such dazzling purity. Wow what a palate. So precise and focused. Acid etched with a laser. Sumptuous yet so refined with just awesome cherry concentrated fruit and such fine tannins. Sweet but also excessively mineral and that finish. Wow, what a finish. Unreal purity and length. Blown away. Sadly all sold out at the estate. — 4 years ago
As awesome as ever and I hope they bottle it soon so I can offer it. Soaring nose of spices, roses, cherries and tar. Super ethereal. Also wild mint. Tree bark. Old chestnut. Intoxicating aromas and seems much finer than the 12. Palate is wonderful. So refined and juicy. Deep, ripe, rich and complex but shows none of the bad character that 2015 can get. Wonderful length and purity. Really fine and elegant tannins. So juicy. Gone of ripe mid season cherries. Tannins get more pronounced as this airs and air is this wine’s best friend so I will be back in an hour.
9.3 to 9.5. This Langhe Nebbiolo crushes many a producer’s Barbaresco. It gains elegance, sweet fruit and insane depth. What a wine. — 4 years ago
So intense it borders on the pain pleasure threshold. Wow. Nose is gorgeous out of the gates. Earth. Olives. Mid season cherries. Psychotic. Stinging acidity. Just blasts the palate with freshness. Some gaminess. Wow. Bought from fass selections. ... drink from a Bordeaux glass. ... some godly grapy sweetness on the finish. — 6 years ago

Perfect for summer season! — 7 years ago
It's definitely still rose season in Southern California and Chateau Leoube makes a range of fantastic roses from Provence. This is one of them. — 9 years ago
Yum! I love the rose season. This is a clean, crisp rose... I would drink it anytime from April thru September. It reminds us of our trip thru the Loire Valley. — 9 years ago

Wow this has gotten glorious and turned the corner. Deep ripe mid to late season cherries. Spice. Violets, raspberry cake. The nose is elite and expressive. Wow. Citrus as well. More like tangelo zest. Acid is fierce as this is 2010 and this is amazingly fresh and has lovely sweetness and grip. Perfect balance and terrific purity. Awesome. This is really showing well. This has a decade to go. Just wonderful. — 4 years ago
First rose of the season. Opened it with tuna tataki on the grill. Nice dose of acidity and a nose of rose petals and strawberry. It is a rose so was not expecting to be blown away. The bottle was finished in a blink of an eye. — 5 years ago
Are you decorated and ready for holiday guests? We are! Wishing you all a Happy Holiday season. ☃️🦌🎄🎁🎅🤶❄️ Cheers! 🥂
This bottle so good tonight almost a 9.4.
@Paul Treadway Huntington Beacher Bum A shout out & thanks to Paul for finding this on sale and sending it my way so I could stock up. Seeing as Jeff Bezos wouldn’t do the normal Whole Foods Wine sale in mid November. I guess short on cash this Q4? 🤷♂️ — 6 years ago

Sipping Fine Wine
Fall is here and it’s the season I love to drink port. Dow, producing Ports for over 2 centuries. One of the first to establish its own vineyards, acquiring Senhora da Ribeira, in the remote Upper Douro, in 1890 & Bomfim, in the heart of Alto Douro, in 1896. Aromas of ripe fruits, fragrant spices and sweet notes. On the palate flavors of candied apple and jammy blackberries with cacao and honey. Firm dusty tannins, good balance, long finish. Perfect now. Tasting Sample. — 3 years ago
