Adding my notes from an International Cabernet tasting from May 2017. A rich plush wine in the Californian style although this is from the Alexander Valley (Sonoma) 98% Cabernet Sauvignon. A lot going on on the palate with Gravel Plum and Mocha. Oak notes coming through on the palate United Cellars who conducted this tasting also showed in southern capital cities and this was the consensus winner in Melbourne and Adelaide we were told. — 8 years ago
This wine reminded me of hot summers in the middle of Russia, far far away from big cities, where I would come to spend my precious June, July and August when I was around 10 years old. It smells like the ripest, dark, soft cherry that's about to go bad if you don't eat it all right this second, hot forest and first yellow leaves that smell amazing in the evening sun and delicious licorice that I loved to hate in childhood. Emotional, sublime and finessed. Jean Grivot gets me like no other. All that and my chubby sleeping cat in the background. — 10 years ago

Cooper Winery in the tri-cities area of South-east Washington State was one of my favorite wine regions on my visit to Washington State. Spicy on the nose, bold palette, and lingering finish are all wonderful qualities in a red blend . Fantastic Wine! — 11 years ago
North Coast Syrah. And wow, seriously the best wine I've had in so very long. So surpassed expectations with the quiet tannins and wonderful bouquet. I wish they would crop dust major cities with this perfume. Pepper, violets and gameness. Sounds like small production so I'm worried this is one of the last bottles around. — 11 years ago
Made by the great randy Dunn the grapes for this wine are sourced from the wahluke slope and tri cities this wine is a more elegant style of Cabernet Sauvignon and even has a bit of Brett medicinal cigar box spice and some herbs and milk chocolate notes. A very fresh and elegant wine with currant and plum fruit with some of that cigar box spice and fresh earth. Finish 45+ most excellent — 11 years ago
Mmm, this bottle brings me back to St. Emilion, one of the prettiest cities to walk around and take in the surroundings. Just outside the city wall sits Clos Fourtet where we spent a beautiful evening dining with the owners and winemakers of about 12 different Chateau on the right bank of Bordeaux. This bottle brought me back there.
After a 3 hr decant, the nose was beautifully perfumed with kirsch, red currant, black cherry, and a whif of smoke and charcoal. The palate is really fresh and lively, especially for being so young. The red currant and black cherry sing together harmoniously, with a perfectly balanced mouthfeel and just slight tannins. The sweet red fruit and touch of minerality continually lure you in for more. This has a long life ahead of it due to its beautiful balance, but it is a fine drink right now as well. — 8 years ago

Holy cow! Intensity in ten cities - that's how this wine should be described. Brooding, rich, powerful, floral, tobacco, tar, leather, cherry cola - lots happening. Take it or a ride. — 12 years ago
