’04 was a cooler, higher acid vintage with limited botrytis. Nevertheless, this ABTSBERG Beerenauslese was tasting like true AMBROSIA, meaning “the nectar of the gods”. This heavenly Ruwer Riesling is quite drinkable now in a half bottle, but still has years of life left in it. You could pair it with a fruit-based dessert, but really it is dessert all by itself:-) — 9 years ago

Honey, apricot, jasmine/fruit blend tea, sweet spices. Approachable, smooth, delicate. Less creamy in texture compared to Rose. Quite rare to find blends in New Zealand. Cuvée name is in honor of previous owner who is Italian. — 11 years ago
