Nice wine. A bit more powerful of a style. Bottled just a few weeks ago - quite fresh. Finish was a bit thin at first but with some air firmed up and the acid made itself know. Mouth filling with good fruit and acidity, and a bit of earth. — 7 years ago
’04 was a cooler, higher acid vintage with limited botrytis. Nevertheless, this ABTSBERG Beerenauslese was tasting like true AMBROSIA, meaning “the nectar of the gods”. This heavenly Ruwer Riesling is quite drinkable now in a half bottle, but still has years of life left in it. You could pair it with a fruit-based dessert, but really it is dessert all by itself:-) — 8 years ago

In honour of Bob's 80th birthday today we opened a magnum of our first vintage in NZ, the 1999 Syrah that Bob planted in 1989. Happy birthday, Bob and we shall open the double magnum with you on your 90th!! Of course 10 out of 10! 😜 — 10 years ago
Honey, apricot, jasmine/fruit blend tea, sweet spices. Approachable, smooth, delicate. Less creamy in texture compared to Rose. Quite rare to find blends in New Zealand. Cuvée name is in honor of previous owner who is Italian. — 11 years ago
Maximin grunhauser herrenberg auslese Riesling 2001 — 12 years ago
A great value buy from GL at $13 bin end sale. Previous bottle was great. This one accidently frozen for 4 hrs couple weeks ago when forgotten in freezer for BYOW dinner, then thawed. Opened 9/9/18. Acidic and minerals on palate after impression of rocks and stone fruits and lemon on nose. Long acidic finish. Great with shrimp and should be for seafoods and others. Too bad likely last bottle. — 7 years ago
