2012 Sawtooth Syrah, Snake River Valley, #Idahowine @sawtoothwinery this is a big, smoky Syrah and a bit more meaty than previous vintages. Aromas of smoke, blueberry and dark plum laced with espresso and toasted almond. Firm tannins and a vvety texture. Bright and clean nose with notes of green apple, chalk and stone. Complex and dry on the palate but with a lingering not note of fruitiness. Flavors of pear, peach and slate and laced with a lingering chalkiness that continues through the finish. — 10 years ago
