Medium mouthfeel in this complex blend of underripe red plum and cedar, mint, anise, black currant, but all in balance with a black river Rock and sandy soil and light peppered smoke. Shittake and smoky riverbed earth with blackberry pie aromas bring a dirty smile to this wine stained mouth. Tight and greenish on the palate, initially, this wine has unravelled into a laser of cranberry blueberry and tart cherry with a pebbly and sapling intensity. The flowers here are black and sleep in shadow. Just like the purpled gravestones of my grill. This wine drips with old world charm. — 12 years ago
