Earthy and delicious. Start of tertiary development — a month ago
The 2012 Vin San Giusto is incredibly refined. There is plenty of the richness that readers have come to expect from the Vin San Giusto, but at the same time, the 2012 is wonderfully precise and nuanced. Spicecake, tobacco, cedar and mint give the 2012 lovely aromatic complexity that gives the wine a remarkable sense of lightness for such a rich sweet wine. In a word: superb. Wow. A lovely wine. Lovely herbs - sage and a hint of green pepper. Well balanced with refined tannins. Super long finish. Well done 100% Merlot and organic #poggiofoco — 5 years ago

Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of two days; consistent throughout. The 2021 Chianti Classico pours a garnet color with a transparent core; medium viscosity with very light staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes tart and ripe red fruits: Morello cherry, raspberry, bergamot, porcini, red flowers, green herbs, an old wood. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long, tart and juicy. Damn, I wish I had better access to the wines of San Giusto a Rentennano! Drink now through 2041. — 5 days ago
