So easy to drink. Fruity, a bit spicy with an interesting lengthy finish. Good value — 3 years ago
Adult stuff, label notwithstanding. Good, rustic natural. Plenty of sediment. — 5 years ago
Thoroughly enjoyed this with our 1-year anniversary dinner at San Fermo — 6 years ago
Wow, what a deal at < $20 / bottle
Wine spectator says #69 of top 100 of 2014.
A burly, brambly red, underscored by tarry smoke and underbrush notes, offering flavors of blackberry coulis, herb-marinated black olive, grilled mushroom and ground spice. This shows muscle that recommends it to short-term cellaring, made accessible by integration and balance. Drink now through 2024. Tasted twice, with consistent notes. #69 – 91 points — 6 years ago
Lovely dark and fruity. Great with steak and pork. I love the mixture of the negromaro grape and primitivo grape. — 7 years ago
Very nice wine. Smooth and easy to drink. No aftertaste and great price around $15 — 8 years ago

Vintage 2010. Pretty yummy! — 11 years ago
Certainly not a subtle wine. Full, Dense and Dark. Aromas of dark plum and cooked dark cherry with a touch of tobacco. The pallet is loaded with dark fruit and prunes. Very oaky and ripe! A bit of dark chocolate and vanilla on the finish, but the fruit dominates. Intense and Powerful but well structured and balanced at the same time. — 2 years ago
Very light cranberry juicy wine, excellent for easy fall afternoon drinking. Call it the oceanspray of wines and I’m not mad about it! — 4 years ago
Lovely wine. Smooth and refreshing for a red. Cherry forward, grassy/earthy on the end. Low tannins make it easy to drink. — 5 years ago
Heady notes of muddled red raspberry, salami and meadow grass. Significant tannins and vanilla edge. Warm finish. — 5 years ago
Schönes Rot, Geruch nach Beeren, Früchten und Gewürze, feine Tannine, runder Abgang. — 5 years ago
Excellent well balanced. — 7 years ago
My wheelhouse flavor profile-echoes of Jura, green bean foam, asian pear. Eye opener, & less than 15$ — 8 years ago
My reading speech for itself. I enjoy it very much — 10 years ago

Dry and jammy. Delicious! Would definitely buy again! — 6 years ago
Blueberries cassis chocolate violet prune. Slightly chewy medium tannin. Medium minus acidity. Well balanced. Warm mouthfeel. Some jammyness comes a bit later. — 7 years ago
Any wine that can shine from a plastic cup deserves extra kudos. Mistook for a Northern nebbiolo with its structure, detail, & balance, but the fruit is pure southern, pomegranate & black currants. Eye opener (esp for 30$ list). Want to re taste in proper stemware. I think 80% nero di trioa 20% montulpiciano — 8 years ago
Really nice complex red wine. Excellent with heavy Italian food. — 11 years ago
