Oily and beautiful. Not brimming with acidity that will shoot to the stars, but it's softer palate feel is welcomed and very pleasant to sip on. — 8 years ago
This was easily one of the best Sauvignon Blancs I've had in a while. Darker color than most, a bit more body. Softer citrus, mellow grassy notes and minerals but without that zingy bone dry finish of limestone. Finishes with some weight and length. Delicious! — 9 years ago
Yes, Sauvignon Blanc in Burgundy! In fact, the St Bris appellation was previously called 'Sauvignon de Saint-Bris' (before 2003). And you can ONLY use SB or Sauv Gris fruit, + max 12.8% ABV. Love the terroir and plan to show it blind just to mess with my Sancerre obsessed friends. — 10 years ago
In its window. Super aromatic. Terrific and pure. — 10 years ago
Good acid to challenge my elk tartar. Could use a little more body, but very nice for my pallet. — 11 years ago

God, this is a great wine. — 7 years ago
Pretty funky upon opening. Horsey like a Raffault. But there is a sense of big cherry fruit lurking. Very floral as well. Some combo there of fresh flowers and horseshit. After 30-45 minutes the shit is gone and it’s all violets, earth and cherries. Awesome. Morel is magic. Palate is deep, raw like only Morel can be, with terrific freshness and acidity and a lovely rusticity. St Aubin Rouge are not the most elegant Burgundies but they have so much more than elegance. This wine is long. Really long. It’s a crazy wine that I think with 3-4 more years will really show well. This is like a young version of the 08. — 8 years ago
Awesome sauv blanc from a producer in Burgundy close to the Chablis border. This vineyard site has limestone soils that you can taste in this dry mineral driven wine. Bright acidity and lean body make it a great food wine and something that will be easy to enjoy all summer long. — 9 years ago
'Ello gorgeous — 10 years ago
Last bottle ever. Nutty, grassy, huge acid and wonderful purity. I love these wines. — 11 years ago
