Beautifully perfumed with spice and dried flowers and earth. Tannins have mellowed since last bottle a little over a year and a half ago, though still grippy on the sides of the mouth. — 6 years ago

1 1/2 years of patience, next bottle out of the case. Bold, packing a punch, still super rich with grippy tannins. — 8 years ago

Jammy / blackberry / balance - no sour finish as I get from most of these wine — 12 years ago
Big rich nose. Loads of spices and dark berry fruits. Mulberry as well and a dark earthy character. Brooding. Palate is enormously complex with awesome icing on cake texture and dazzling purity. So clean. Elegant for such a big boy. Concentrated with lovely sweet tiny berry fruit that is so explosive and fresh. Clean and ultra pure. — 5 years ago

This wine has evolved wonderfully over the last 10 years...
Dark macerated fruit notes, tossed wet earth, bloody/gamey meat, charred oak and balsamico. At age 20, all components have melted into this beautiful beasty boy and those chewy but well dosed tannines provide a great harmonious structure.
Well done! 👍🏻
