Certainly one of the greatest of all Saar estates totally nailed it in '94 with this truly astounding TBA sold at the Trier auction in '96--massively intense, dark almost opaque color reminiscent of molasses & maple syrup with an intense coffee/chocolate flavor profile compounded by off-the-chart acidity very similar to an Eiswein. If ever a TBA deserved to be called AWESOME this one sure as hell does--ZOWEEE!!! — 11 years ago
