Château Suduiraut, 2023, Sauternes BDX, France 🇫🇷
Overview
Premier Cru Classé Sauternes delivering pure botrytis luxury blend of 80% Semillon, 15% Sauvignon Blanc and 5% Sauvignon Gris with remarkable tension and precision. Lush honeyed richness balanced by vibrant acidity and a beautifully layered texture that feels both decadent and weightless. Sensual, polished, and deeply expressive, this is a dessert wine that seduces rather than overwhelms.

Medium-high acid, citrus. Sauvignon blanc primary with some muscadet and semillon — 6 months ago
See previous Delectable note in December 2024. Amazingly pale for a 14 year old white. Aromatics of lemon, lanolin and wet straw. It hasn’t yet developed the toasty characters I was expecting, indicating still a long life ahead. Overall this is delicate on a light bodied leanish palate. Only 11% ABV. Lovers of big buttery Chardonnay may not appreciate this wine. 3 bottles left - I will try and have the next one in 12 to 18 months. — 8 months ago

Always surprised by these wines. Incredible concentration and still lively. — 12 years ago
Brilliant and complex wine. Personally i couldnt find any hint of sauvignon blanc on the nose and it reminds me more of a chardonnay. Great use of wood and acidity. Will improve in the coming years. Highly recommmend! Served with roasted cauliflower soup — 4 months ago
Perfect with chicken vindaloo. A beauty and just the right age. Molasses and honey. Great white fruit flavor mix. — 4 months ago

White peaches, hint of lemon zest, slight acidity with nice nose that has a little oak. Very nice. — 6 months ago
Alive and kicking! And beautiful at that. The balance you want and come to expect in a top notch Sauternes between sugar, alcohol, fruits.

Excellent white blend from Arietta, with what is probably the right amount of age. Amber in the glass, deep and mouth filling, fat, but not oaky. Very nice. — 10 years ago
