Great wine bought in Ithaca. Bright flavors, great acid. Just lovely. — 8 years ago
Delightful Pinot, amazing value Russell Bevan legend — 8 years ago
Still quite young, but good flavors and potential. Currently lacks complexity and is more primary in its palate presentation, but still quite tasty. A bit rough around the edges. Needs time. — 9 years ago

Russell bevan typical unfiltered and full of lees in your face chard. Tropical fruit and full of hazelnuts with a finish that goes on and on. Not over Oaked at all like so many other intense Cali chards — 11 years ago

Another winner from Russell From at Herman Story. Great notes of dark chocolate, blackberry, and kirsch on the nose. Beautifully integrated palate with sweet, evolved tannins enveloped in fruit and glycerine, followed by a nice (albeit slightly hot) finish. Terrific. — 7 years ago
Wow...this is definitely the year to drink your '07 Drystack Syrah! It is at the peak of its plateau - racy, velvety, gamey, and demanding. Its fruit, acid, and tannin balance was perfect - lovely grilled meat, decaying lavender and vanillin spices, with loads of baked fruit and juicy black plum. The richness and tannic qualities had finally dialed down a notch to become a serious elegant wine. Kinda wish I had another bottle of this because it was my last one, and I'm happy and sad at the same time that it is gone. Thanks Russell Bevan for another great wine.
P.S. thanks for the inspiration to finally open my last one, ha. Now you just need to buy me some more because I fell in love again! @Ron R — 8 years ago
Light bodied with a nose of vanilla, plums, and red fruits. This ain't your average Syrah by any means. A spicy palate with some rustic undertones. A touch sweeter than I expected but in a good way. Nice, long finish. Not a lot of fat on this one but it still makes an impression. — 9 years ago
This was much better than I expected. — 10 years ago
20 percent chard, this wine is bigger than a New Zealand Sav Blanc. No oak, grapefruit, lime, jalapeño oddly enough and bell pepper. — 10 years ago
Mr Kurt my town(Aspen) resident shared it with us. Lovely. I do think last years was more exciting, — 10 years ago
Really cool oak profile. Try and drink this #wine as often as possible. Pineapple, melon, banana, salient, straight lovely — 10 years ago
Unbelievable fresh complex new world chardonnay! Respect! — 12 years ago
Totally forgot about this Riesling in my cellar. Was given to me 6 years ago as a gift since I live in Colorado. What a pleasant surprise. Heavy golden tone with honeydew, honey blossom and honeycomb. Holy honey batman. It was so balanced that I didn't mind the 2% resid sug. Wish I had more in storage. Oh well. — 9 years ago
They hit it with the 2012! Spicy, complex, smokey. Food, no food, it works either way. — 10 years ago
Outstanding for the first effort from Russell. It's the wine that punched me in the teeth and made a me huge fan of Bevan Cellars. Still beautiful today. #epiphanywine — 10 years ago
This fruit from harbison vineyard (a hidden tiny property nestled among stars in Oakville) boasts classic Oakville notes of cherry and sugar plum with a silky velvety texture that makes this wine so approachable. Notes of mocha, toasted cedar and graceful yet long finish make this a beautiful wine in an impossible vintage. Ps Russell bevan is also the wine maker for harbison"s own estate micro production wine. 50 cases of this wine made. — 11 years ago
This blend of cab franc and merlot has less forward fruit than most of Russell and Victoria's wines and more expression of terroir. Beautiful aromas fresh flowers and graphite and more subtle purple fruit on the palate and a long finish. This is age worthy. What a great producer and great people Russell and Victoria are! — 12 years ago
