Excellent 2006 Vin Santo style; really fresh and less sherry/oxidised of the genre of Tuscan desserts #malvasia #trebbiano #DOC #castellodipomino #barrelaged5yrs #tuscany #rufina — 12 years ago
If you want a Chianti with a bit more “oomph”, such as for a nice veal cutlet, grilled chicken, pasta primavera, grilled eggplant, or similar dish, go with a Chianti Classico or Chianti Rufina in the $12-25 range. — 13 years ago

Chianti Rufina DOCG 2009, 13.5%. Beautiful color with purple nuances. The nose was a bit to alcoholic at first, but then the floral scents emerge and it becomes rich and intense. Powerful but smooth in the mouth. — 13 years ago
