All the typical Margaret River Cabernet descriptors - Herbaceous, tomato bush, leafy. Initially a vanilla oak component which lessened. Medium weight with medium tannins. A touch more mid palate fruit for a gold medal. — 8 years ago
A great go to wine for us. Aromas and taste of strawberry cherry and smoke. Great finish. — 9 years ago
Great tannin with smooth tasting... — 9 years ago
I'm not sure how @Hardy Wallace gets so much flavor and complexity packed into something that is as light and graceful as this. Cranberry, rhubarb, rocks, earth and mushroom. Orange zest. Smoked meat. I need too figure out how to not drink these for a while, to see what they become. — 10 years ago
Outstanding Pino! — 12 years ago
Smooth, aromatic, fruity with notes of cherry, and stone fruit, dry oak finish, medium body, Ruby red color. Great wine. — 6 years ago

Pineapple, guava paste, sunshine, beaches. — 8 years ago
Once I stopped wanting this to be Muscadet (much lower acidity) or Ramato Pinot Gris (not nearly the tannin/phenolic structure) I really enjoyed this. It's a much quieter and more nuanced 'orange' wine, rewarding close attention and time taken. Lots of development over 3 days, and I'm curious where this is in another year or two. Thanks @Hardy Wallace ! — 9 years ago
A crucial year for the vision of this chilean winery, when the gastronomical, oxidative, low-alcohol approach of winemaker Marcelo Retamal finally took off.

Alder Springs makes Thingz with Zings! Does anything come from this place that isn't a laser or lightning bolt? Must make hair stand on end when you walk through it. I can just picture @Hardy Wallace picking his grapes looking like he had his hand on a van de Graff generator... — 8 years ago
Fresh aromatic beautiful wine. — 8 years ago
Naturally made, bush vine, no grafting. Very interesting and unexpected expression of Chenin. Slightly more tropical, but still restrained, not as nutty and very savory. Not quite as acidic as French Chenin. Lovely wine. — 10 years ago
Fantastic for the price . — 10 years ago
