A blend of 75% Corvina, 20% Rondinella & 5% Molinara, deep Ruby with distinctive raisiny berry fruit flavors and sweet spice. On the palate flavors of cherry and strawberry with vanilla spice, nicely balanced with soft and smooth warming tannins on a long finish ending with fruit, licorice and tobacco. Can age well. It’s comprised of 100% Rondinella grapes, native to Italy. This variety is a common blending partner in the red wines of Valpolicella and Bardolina. 🍇 Here it’s holding its own at center stage with notable florals on the nose, including elderflower, rose, and chamomile, alongside fruit notes of starfruit, cantaloup, raspberry, grapefruit pith, fresh herbal notes of chervil and fennel, and wet stone. 🌹
On the palate, it’s dry, has medium acidity, medium alcohol, and medium intensity in flavors. Flavors are largely consistent with the nose, but I’m also tasting Smarties candies -- both sweet and tart/tangy at the same time. It brings me back.

Sergio Zenato and his wife Carla began to produce quality wines from an indigenous varietal, Trebbiano di Lugana, and passed down through the generations. A blend of 80% Corvina, 10% Rondinella, 10% Oseleta and Croatina. Medium Ruby with aromas of dried berry fruits, sweet and smoky notes with pleasant herb spice. On the palate flavors of ripe currants and sweet blackberries with cacao, spice, oak and nutty tones. Fine tannins, long complex finish ending slightly creamy with cedar notes.
