Full bodied, oaky with good hint of cherry, got good leg and length. The grapes are grown and harvested on our family member’s property. — 6 years ago
Great Texas wine with a delicious tart cherry bouquet. Overall it’s pretty well balanced, light oak, tart cherry flavor, spicy, slightly acidic, and low tannins. The acid and spice are a bit out of balance but don’t let that discourage you it’s a delicious and unique wine. — 6 years ago
Brownwood 1 May 2018. Very nice! — 7 years ago
Not usually a white fan, this was fabulous.

What the hell. Let's keep the cab train rolling! A strong bouquet of cherry and toasty oak. The cherry notes are accompanied by currant, cinnamon and a heavy dose of baking spices, and mushroom. The finish is long with dusty tannins. So many knock Silver Oak because it's big, oaky and relatively straight-forward. There certainly are more complex options out there. But that doesn't mean it's not well done. — 8 years ago
If you haven’t tried Texas wine but do have very high standards, you must check out Kuhlman Cellars! Award winning Roussane is bright, crisp, with lingering smoothness that will delight your palette. The best combination of French and California right here, but from TX!! — 6 years ago
A little “funkier” than I’m used to, but still smooth and easy. Not too sweet. — 6 years ago
Paired fantastic with leftover Christmas 🎄 Turkey en Croute

Vanilla and leather notes, creamy. Paired with beef tenderloin with squid ink fettuccini in white wine saffron sauce. Had at Pasteggiare Con Vino at ViniCulture: — 7 years ago
OK, so the first one of the new vintage went down tonight! And, dare I say that I think that this one is going to hold just as well as the 2015. I still need to take one of these to the lockup. This seems to be a more acidic Viognier than the 2015. Mouthfeel on entry is thicker than the wine evolves to be. First is a lot of mango and a hint of kiwi, and ends with more acidic citrus notes with a hint of honeysuckle. Bought slightly more of this than the Roussanne. Haven't had any of that yet, but soon! — 8 years ago
2016 Hensell Rose by Kuhlman. New release. Lots of bright acidity. Young strawberry, some watermelmon, citrus, and minerality, in the middle and finish. Crisp. Damn fine for a day like today. Winemaker from Provence France. 100% Mourvedre Rose, and absolutely beautiful wine for a day like today. — 8 years ago
Holy shit that was good! I usually try to describe the fruit notes and sweetness and tannins...this review does not need that . Inwood is a stand out Texas vintner. Try it. Do it. You won't be disappointed. — 8 years ago
A fantastic day in Santa Clara! Enjoying this wonderful wine with lunch before seeing the Rolling Stones at Levi Stadium.. A blueberry dark cherry on the nose. The dark fruits, floral and spice burst in the mouth lingering with cassis, chocolate and vanilla notes. Medium finish and a beautiful dark purple color. — 6 years ago
Slightly less sour than the LI vintages — 6 years ago
Winner of the Houston Rodeo best Texas wine. Great blend. Balanced nicely structured. Cherry prominent. Lasts in palate. Good with New Braunfels Smoke House ham. — 7 years ago

I have posted the 2015, but not this one (to my knowledge). Whereas 2015 is definitely more strawberry crush and red fruited in general, this 2016 is more watermelon, pink grapefruit, and mango on the front. The wine is very acidic on the front. The wine is of medium weight with sharp acid. There is a little less fruit here than the 2015 overall. The wine is still rather solid to the finish with the watermelon and mango notes, some kiwi here as well. I think this has very good aging potential. I think the 2016 Rose wines from the TX Hill Country are all less strawberry on a whole. But all, with exception to one thus far, are pretty damn delicious. — 8 years ago
Nice and peppery but still well balanced. I can tell these flavors are already evolving a lot. — 8 years ago

Very good...and I'm not normally into whites like this. I really recommend this. — 5 years ago
