Cherry, with a slightly dank, earthy, mushroom side. Acidity is right where I like it. Drinking so well! Recommended by my favorite somm ;) — 7 years ago
Young but sublime after an hour. — 11 years ago
Already a faded almost bricking color. I found the whole cluster/stemmy quality a little too dominant. The fruit is buried and the whole package came across slightly too herbal/lean/underripe to me. Texturally the wine had good lift and highly drinkable. — 7 years ago

By far my favorite HD bottle to date!! — 8 years ago
Whoa. Dark. Thick. Meaty. Pepper. Could use some time to soften these tannins, but that said, a wonderful wine. I haven't met a wine from Griffin's Lair that I didn't like and I'd say the same for Arnot-Roberts. — 9 years ago

Impressive nose and made a big first impression. On the sweet side though. High octane, which was noticeable in the nose. — 7 years ago
