The Voerzio Capalot/Brunate 01 (mag) was the third WOTN for me. A perfect Voerzio expression. Hell of a nose and intensity/concentration. Much fresher and more vivid than a 09 I had last weekend. 01 seems to rock here again. Bright red stone fruit, dark roses and flowers, coffee bean, some mocha, tarry irony minerals. You kinda feel the old vines here. Wow. — 6 years ago

Loved this, all the fruit I want at the price I like. Pop and go, excellent. — 8 years ago

Great Nebbiolo. Had with steak. — 10 years ago
Something different. Bit hot and very foursquare, but not trying to be anything else. Ideal for a ragout. — 5 years ago
Tasted from bottle with Roberto Conterno. Nice to compare the wine in Zalto glass vs the Zwiesel Glass that was designed to the wishes of Roberto Conterno.
This Monfortino is very structured, multi-layered and rich. High phenolic ripeness. Lots of nuances. And the good thing is that there are 20000 bottles, 3000 magnums and 500 double magnums. 98-100 — 6 years ago
Bodega Mendel is a boutique winery with an incredible story. Combination of 1928 Argentinian Malbec vines and other Bordeaux varietals provide a combination of sophisticated structure with enough complexity to keep the palate engaged. My favourite wine from Mendel. — 6 years ago
Nice round body with solid acidity cranberry and chocolate flavors - smooth bit for Asti but yummy some tannin present — 11 years ago

2009 has made a wine that is more accessible now, feel free to open it up but make sure to give it plenty of air. The nose is generous, tar, roses, sappy red fruits and licorice, savory for sure. The palate is a little less generous and firm, but unlike 2010, more enjoyable now.
