2009 has made a wine that is more accessible now, feel free to open it up but make sure to give it plenty of air. The nose is generous, tar, roses, sappy red fruits and licorice, savory for sure. The palate is a little less generous and firm, but unlike 2010, more enjoyable now.

For sure a sexier version of Barolo. Heavier weight and grippier tannin. The dark fruit and cocoa powder is prominent. I like it. But it would get old after a while — 10 years ago

Vanilla! Certainly a modern style. Fruit forward with dark fruit. It's like no other Barolo I have had. Very enjoyable.
