Our neighbor brought over this wine and it's so good. Very smooth Pinot Noir. Strong smells of berries and the ending is as rich as bread and butter. — 12 years ago
A near perfect drinking experience is the dark ruby '06 Carlisle Zinfandel 'Montafi Ranch'. It opens with an intoxicating bouquet of brambly dark berries, anise, cracked pepper and eucalyptus aromas. The best positive, comparative and superlative adjectives to describe the mouthfeel are smooth, smoother and smoothest. The unctuous mouth is flooded with all the sweetest and ripest dark fruit flavors imaginable. The finish is very long, rich and creamy with even more fruit and spice on the aftertaste. Dazzling stuff! — 11 years ago

A bit oaky on day 1, better on day 2 and even better on day 3. — 11 years ago
I got two cases this year and I'm worried it's not enough. Always so perfect. — 11 years ago

Sick Syrah. Smoke, black pepper, bacon fat, lovely dark fruit. Perfect medium minus body, only 13.6abv. Would have mistaken it for a St Joseph or Cornas. Beautiful. Well done Porter Creek, well done. @Drew DiMatteo are you familiar with these guys? They're in your future neighborhood! — 11 years ago
