Awesome coolclimate expression of Monterey central coast sauv blanc...green grassy notes. More pronounced...but great oceanic salinity on finishto pair with food — 6 years ago
Inky purple is n color. Nose of nice dark chocolate, peppery, sugar plum, tobacco leaves, and some nice hint of spicy oak note. Taste is a nice mix of sweetness from sugar plum and cherry, rift amount of zest, noticeable tannins, some menthol, some place pepper, chewy, and silky. Aftertaste is nice zest mixed with residual sweetness and pepper note. Wow, this is really nice with her price tag. In fact, if you want to learn about petit Syrah and price concerned, this is your bottle. — 8 years ago
Not too bad! Excellent with our own tomato, basil and fresh mozzarella Caprese salad (all from our garden except for the cow milk); homemade Bolognese and local arugula, cucumber salad (no dressing). Nice tannins and great cherry fruit. Not so great alone but perfect with everything we ate. We rift off the salad dressing because the fresh arugula didn't need it and it actually went beautifully wit the Barolo! — 10 years ago
Earth, mineral, lightsyrah. Nice change from Australian Shiraz, and excellent with Ethiopian food, especially spicy dishes. More like a California Petit Syrah than Australian Shiraz, so don't expect the latter. — 8 years ago
First Kenyan wine I've tasted. Pleasantly surprised!!! Lovely Sauvignon Blanc. Refreshing, fruity and not too acidic. Perfect on its own! — 10 years ago
Grassy, gooseberry, lots of texture and minerality. — 5 years ago
Ramato. Orange. Love it. — 6 years ago
Outstanding! Excellent flavor. Just the right amount of berries. May go back and get a case. — 7 years ago
2000 vintage drinking beautifully. Nose just rift with a touch of barn. Fruit well balanced with some good pepper and earthiness. Only complaint is the finish is a bit shorter than other beaucastel's I have had. — 9 years ago

A delicate translucent ruby in the glass with just thd tiniest amount of fizz. The nose is exceedingly pretty while also showcasing its rustic nature. Oak gets the party started on the bouquet with fresh berries and herbs joining in. A nice bit of soft spice and earth are wonderful here. This is an amazingly light and fresh Pinot with a ton of character. 14.2 but you never feel it.
Really nice structure and minerality here. Medium bodied with round tannins and moderate acidity. Plenty of restraint shown here thankfully. Silky on the tongue which leads to a palate full of generous red fruits. Cranberries, raspberries, and pomegranates lead things with more dry earth and herbs. A really nice Pinot where they made all the right choices. — 5 years ago
