🇬🇧 Vivino London Dinner - 01 Apr 🇬🇧
Wine 0️⃣6️⃣
Sassicaia 09 from Carlo Terruzzi
📝 We had to fight my wife to get any of this as she adored it 😎
Lovely rich deep cocoa driven dark fruits that showed awesome potential - drinking 4.5⭐️ but will be a stunning 5⭐️ in 5-7 years & my wife says 5⭐️ as her WOTN & it will be 5⭐️ in time 👍
Check others notes but I'm buying some (I've been ordered to 😂) & I even kissed (or licked) Carlo for this - thanks Carlo for sharing this & costing me a fortune 👅 — 8 years ago
Something to warm the cockles on a snowy day after yet another Christmas party. Dry gin, better with tonic which brings out the flowers. — 8 years ago

2004 vintage. From Jay. 2004 Bartolo Mascarello - Brief Note from Galloni Historical Retrospective Held in London April 26, 2016. Dark ruby colour. Fresh violets on the nose together with cherries. A little tobacco wrapper. Cracked cloves. Nice fruit on the pallet and very silky. This is both elegant and old school in all the right ways. 92+/100. Drink 2017 to 2028+ — 9 years ago
top three in the gin collectors alltime hall of fame!
one of the purest, mildest and longest lasting - a perfect match pure, in g&t's or martinis. very balanced, smooth and fresh with distinct notes of juniper, aniseed and citrus.
hands down in the league with beefeater crown jewel. — 10 years ago
A truly excellent and remarkable wine from Lebanon. Starts off with a sweet berries and then turns into a bit more spicy one. Unique and unforgettable. 17 pounds at Wholefoods, London — 10 years ago

Flavorful, easy drinking, surprisingly good. — 8 years ago
We liked the fruity (boysenberry) notes of this wine. Tasted great, not very oaky, smooth. Can I say drinkable? Yep. — 8 years ago
On a very Black Friday in London (6/24/16) this bubbly offered needed relief... — 9 years ago

1995 vintage Zinfandel. Firm upper cork gave way a bit on the inside lower half inch but removed it all with a little care. That cork was Tight for twenty years. Must have been bold when young. It was pale light red, almost heavily faded but smelled sweet. Not as sweet to the taste but a mellow and a hint of cranberry after airing out. Dry. — 10 years ago
Hazelnuts and caramel on the nose with mocha, bright strawberries and cranberry on the palate. A young wine that will benefit with age. — 10 years ago
Perfect balance. Elegant and rich. Savory and malty sweet while maintaining perfect poise and weight. — 11 years ago
Rich creamy dark chocolate. Wonderful roasted bitterness. Probably the best porter in the world? — 11 years ago
