Great dark cherry fruit with exposed tannins. Not much earth and tar. Great Barolo to pair with many Italian foods. — 4 years ago
Fresh late season cherries, some raspberries and mulberries. Some spice, it started out roses, some violets, and the menthol note is grown big. Tannins, very woody-flavored tannins, along the roof of the mouth. Tannins recede and cherries grow over a few hours. It’s a light, elegant wine in the prime of its life. It was like $28. I’d hold on to a lot more of it. I love nebbiolo. Drank it watching the chi. — 4 years ago

Such a beautifully expressive & high toned Langhe, if only other Langhe's could give back so much at a young age. — 7 years ago
$7 at Astor and a staff pick touted as a “solid pizza sipper” — liked it enough to get again and pay better attention — a year ago

The 1990 has a lovely light almost herbal nose with a fairly dark red color with minimal browning of the edges & a moderate body with good complexity & good acid & balanced tannins & lovely complex aftertaste. It will last 5-15 years in a cool cellar. — 6 years ago

Light with a full body finish 👌🏽 — 7 years ago
Thank you Franci. 2005 intense petrol from the start on the nose developing to grappa aromas. Palate displaying smooth subtle raisin raspberry. A touch of earth. No truffle but there wants to be — 8 years ago

Delectable seems to have deleted the Alpi Retichi… Motalli rosé nebbiolo the true anti-rosé. Always balanced, multilayered, soulful. — 10 months ago
