Great dark cherry fruit with exposed tannins. Not much earth and tar. Great Barolo to pair with many Italian foods. — 5 years ago

The 1990 has a lovely light almost herbal nose with a fairly dark red color with minimal browning of the edges & a moderate body with good complexity & good acid & balanced tannins & lovely complex aftertaste. It will last 5-15 years in a cool cellar. — 8 years ago

Such a beautifully expressive & high toned Langhe, if only other Langhe's could give back so much at a young age. — 9 years ago
Fairly easy going as befits its La Morra origins. Mid-weight with perhaps a touch too much new oak, but otherwise ripe and ready to go. — 5 years ago
Cheers Renato... we keep you in our hearts. — 5 years ago

Thank you Franci. 2005 intense petrol from the start on the nose developing to grappa aromas. Palate displaying smooth subtle raisin raspberry. A touch of earth. No truffle but there wants to be — 9 years ago

$7 at Astor and a staff pick touted as a “solid pizza sipper” — liked it enough to get again and pay better attention — 2 years ago
