Broken Stones Red Rhone Blend 2007

A wine from what I refer to as Justin Smith's "miracle year" (although with slightly less consequence than the development of special relativity), the 2007 Broken Stones is terrific. Probably still a bit young - the wine seems a little closed - it has all the hallmarks of being a great wine in a few years. If you have this, I'd recommend decanting for 1-2 hours. Enjoy! — 8 years ago

Château Haut-Brion

Graves Red Bordeaux Blend 1970

Lovely velvety will lots of fruit and tannin. This wine is still relativity youthful for a time that is 45 years of age. Was surprised that the wine was in such great condition — 8 years ago

Marcassin

Marcassin Vineyard Pinot Noir 2003

"Full bodied" rich Pinot style. Relativity heavy mouthfeel for pinot (concentrated). Deep purple color. But delicious and stood up to prime rib dinner well. — 10 years ago
