Simply the best. It's not rateable, just be clear it's the best overall for a lotta reasons. #winesathome #workedhardforthosecases — 9 years ago
This is one of the reasons I'm convinced it's almost never necessary to spend more than about $30 on a chardonnay, as this has pretty much everything I want out of the grape. Crystalline on day one, cut like a jewel with a chalky, dusty minerality that impacts the texture as much as the taste, all briny oysters on the finish, holds up well in the fridge for days putting on weight and getting deeper, more brassy tones while still featuring that chalky freshness. — 10 years ago

First of all, the bouquet is layered with muddled dark fruit. Second, the body is complex in all the right reasons. It's concentrated, intense, fresh, elegant and carries the sweetness of the fruit. Raspberries and blackberries on the tongue, with a beautiful dark purple color. Medium body, medium acidity and ripe tannins round out this seductive wine. — 10 years ago
1947 Fun and hard to describe what a treat just to imagine how this came about. Was there an industry in California at the time? I thought It had some characteristics of Zinfandel but it also gave me plenty of reasons not to doubt is mostly cab... And who knows what else... It is still very much alive — 10 years ago
I chose somethin' else. And the reasons? There are no reasons. Who needs reasons when you've got wine? — 11 years ago
