9.4 on the Sareg scale for a wine that costs $80 is more or less ambrosia!!!!x e^11 — 6 years ago
Strawberries, blood orange rind, watermelon, satsuma mandarins, iron, smoke. Snapping acidity, light bodied, juicy texture, tangy-salty-slightly off dry yet crisp finish. Highly aromatic, at times savory, at times smoky, fruit persists through. Unique, interesting and uncommonly delicious. — 7 years ago
2004 vintage. From Jay. 2004 Bartolo Mascarello - Brief Note from Galloni Historical Retrospective Held in London April 26, 2016. Dark ruby colour. Fresh violets on the nose together with cherries. A little tobacco wrapper. Cracked cloves. Nice fruit on the pallet and very silky. This is both elegant and old school in all the right ways. 92+/100. Drink 2017 to 2028+ — 8 years ago
Wonderful. I may prefer the Rutherford overall but the oakville has a stronger backbone. — 8 years ago
