With an ample sweet black fruit profile, warm vanilla and very silky acids, this cab comes across as bawdy. More depth than the white label but in no way is it terribly dense and unforgiving; it's actually good to drink right now and opens quickly. Grill up some steaks and cue the trombone solo, this is a wine to drink just because you like good wine. — 9 years ago
Can't find my Ah-so (cue Bender) so I didn't stand a chance against this cork. The worm ended up drilling a hole straight through the middle, so had to strain through a coffee filter. Worth the trouble as this was a nice surprise. Tapenade nose, tar and still a hint of bacon. Nice showing for the basic County blend at 17+ years. Chose the location due a mountain lion sighting in the 'hood today. — 9 years ago
On a hot summer night [cue Sammy Hagar] this guy benefitted from some cooling before releasing its dark fruit bounty. — 10 years ago

Very few wines in this world we live in resist time in such a beautiful way. After 50 years, this beauty shows class, freshness and a cue of the power that once it had. Still very aromatic, showing tertiary aromas of humus, dried tobacco, meatness, decayed leaf, and coffee. There is a sense of Tawny Port adding to all that. The palate is ethereal, not heavy by any means, fresh with feminine - yet firm still - structure. Sweetness and savouriness blend in a surprisingly long finish. — 8 years ago
Structured and tight with a hint of oak upon opening. Wasn't sure how it would open up BUT THEN 😮😍 < cue white burgundy heaven >
Bruised apple and lemon curd as it opens up. Flinty notes - yes yes yes. Perfectly paired with oysters, mussels and roasted chicken. Bouchon FTW 🙏🏼 — 8 years ago
A year later & this is a little ripper! Cue grilled steak and escarole & this little beauty holds up beautifully in all her silky feminine allure with fine acidity, silky tannins and a lingering coffee mocha after its. Tops. — 10 years ago
Cue the imperial death march theme. This is a unique and bizarre wine. — 10 years ago
i can drink this table wine forever! #hic #latepost #justsaying — 10 years ago
1998 Napa cab. Expected vegetal nose was right on cue. One of the most disparate experiences, nose to palate, I’ve had. The wine was nowhere near green and drank beautifully over dinner with veal chops! We decanted 60 minutes prior and had half an inch of sludge to clean up but wow. So pleased as I had all but given up on ‘98. Plenty of fruit left here! — 7 years ago

Visual: no defectos. Disco pequeno, ruby claro. Traslucente. Buenas lagrimas.
Olfato:
Cereza, frambuesa fresca, algo a tierra pero no mucho spice. Algo tart.
Boca: mismos sabores, fruta fresca tart. Cranberry. No madera. Un balance entre el acido pero un poco mas tanico.

Cue the Runaways’ cherry bomb! Bright Cherry, rasberry, red roses, cranberry, strawberry aromatics. Such luscious red fruit it almost seems to have slight RS. 🤸🏻♂️ — 9 years ago
Excellent Tempranillo. Might one of the better ones I've tried. It was dry, spicy and rich. It is so good and better than a wine 3x it's price. I feel like I should but more to cellar it. — 9 years ago
Good wine... had with appetizers — 9 years ago
Fantastic, with its deep ruby color and overall great "yummy factor!" Why can't I find screaming values like this from the U.S.?? — 10 years ago
Verdejo, from rueda, crispy like champagne beautiful aroma like pinot gris acidy like chardonnay its a great wine for the price, always find something new on this — 10 years ago
Medium fine oceanic lacing. If the ocean were made of beer. Citrusy with orange blossom aromatics and an old tire floating in it. Cue Iron Eyes Cody's 70s Chief Indian tears. That's throwback for you, if I can be blunt. Tastes like a baseball card, iron and codeine with light yeast and quaalude. Yep. That IS throwback. — 10 years ago
Pale ruby, this wine smells of smoked meats/bacon fat and garrigue slathered on wet cement. In the mouth the wine has a crystalline clarity with great acidity making flavors of raspberry and other forest berries bright and shiny, even as they take a back seat to a little barnyard funk and forest floor. Cue James Brown Sex Machine. — 11 years ago
