A cooler vintage in the Douro. And for the first time, stems were used during fermentation has created and strict and aromatic version combining rich red berries with spice with and crushed stone flavours. Still tight but showing great promise. 94 p. — 7 years ago
This is embarrassing - I admit I'm not a big Port fan! But I now realise I adore the Tawny variety! Right that's out of the way, this is seriously good stuff, pronounced, woody, toffeed, caramel, dried fruits and nutty, with the addition of dried figs and raisins coming forth on the palate. Sweet with nice acidity but seriously powerful with 21% abv — 9 years ago

Sitting on the lanai in Grand Cayman sipping the wine 2012 one of the more reasonable wines for sale here. Going down very easy lightly peppered with plum and blueberry fruit taste possibly coffee. The color is dark and the aroma is as it tastes with pepper and dark fruit. — 7 years ago
After years trying to taste it in a proper manner, I finally found the opportunity over a decent red pepper steak with red grape sauce. I was surprised not to see Alicante Bouschet into this baco original from the heights of the Serra de Sao Mamede in Portalegra, but the truth is that the typical granite soils from the region are powering this Touriga Nacional to its best!! Amazing quality price wine! — 8 years ago
Very nice 20 year tawny. Mouth filling with excellent profile throughout. Had at Paul Bocuse. — 9 years ago
Oh jeez that's delicious. Vinho verde made with battonage. Classic Vinho attributes with unsurpassed breadth and mouthfeel. A real winner: — 9 years ago
Dark ruby red core with red edges. Beautiful nose, medium to full bodied, elegant red fruits, cherry, sauve tannins, with good acidity, long and persistent vintage. Classy wine. — 11 years ago

Really amazing paired with seafood (think scallops and clams), but skippable otherwise. On the sweeter side, with a little funkiness to it. — 6 years ago
