Cranberry juice color, initially sulphur and skunky on the nose, gradually changing to raspberry/cherry and jolly rancher. Sweeter than expected and lively. Really fun and tasty wine. Short finish is only place it's lacking. Pairing with grilled moose burgers and baked potato. — 9 years ago
Smooth, nice for the price especially — 9 years ago
You know when your wine nigjt starts with this things can only lead to wrestling. Not like WWF but more like first round with a panther but then in line are a moose, polar bear and a rhino. Progressive matches power wise but neither of you are trying to beat the other. Where was I going with this? Oh yeah, amazing syrah. Find it and leave your notes and ill tell you if I agree. Easier for both us. — 9 years ago
From Dornan's, Moose, Wyoming. Drank 9/2/15. Acidic, with a little sweetness on the finish. Liked it. Buy again. — 10 years ago
This was particularly yummy... This guy who looks like "Charlie Moose;" cooks cavatelli like grandma... Jesus Christ; Luigi is an artist... Sleep well America; Peter Heidt has fed the staff that keeps you safe... This wine... Fruit , grape jam, rich, doesn't taste like an Amarone on the first sip... Taste more like mom's peanut butter and jelly sandwich, without the peanut butter... No alcohol, just a lot of fruit... Calling my wine wholesalers for two cases tomorrow... Dom P agrees... Love Seattle this time of year... — 11 years ago

Nice Grigio. — 12 years ago
Showing really well today, this wine is often overshadowed by its slightly younger sibling, the 1990. Today, this was singing. Earthy, with anise and strong fruit on the moose, the palate was rich and round, with that special Chave funk subtly making itself known. An impressive effort. — 9 years ago
Varietals Wine sticker on the bottle. Wish that shop was still around. This bottle is right at the edge. Almost over the hill. I'm left with thrilling brink of overripe kitsch port and black cherry fruit. Overly vanilla extracted chocolate moose. White knuckle cause it's about to plummet off the cliff into syrup mush alcohol drain pour. — 9 years ago

2012. This bottle took a lickin and kept on tickin. Brain fart after a night of drinking and left this bottle in the car for half a day baking in the heat. Leaked a little bit and then put in fridge for 3 weeks. Still as solid as a suit of armor. Compliments of The Moose! Thanks buddy! — 10 years ago
Second type of cab I've tried, very different flavor. I'm a fan of California Reds!

Bold aroma, silky feel, deep rich flavor. So good and never took the back seat with dinner of moose steak, King Boletes, roast Yukon gold and magic molly potatoes, cherry tomatoes, and radishes....all from our garden, tundra, and woods. — 9 years ago
Slightly reductive with good moose and rich finish. — 9 years ago
Thanks Lil Moose! — 10 years ago
Bought this wine in honor of my best buddy passing away today. Moose was the best puppy, and like her this wine was surprisingly wonderful. I will miss her more than anything, but I sure will revisit this wine and think about her ❤️ — 10 years ago
