High quality throughout, the wine is showing both provenance, and structure with developing complexity in the glass and a long balanced finish. Drinks well, and there’s no need to wait, even though it will continue to develop complexity for another five years or so. — 7 years ago

Delish! Had to go to work or would have drank that whole bottle! Loved it — 9 years ago
Double Magnum with family in Zermatt. Very drinkable wine with lots of fruit but not too forward. Very smooth at this point in it's life. Still lots of body and just dry enough to prove it's varietal provenance. Very drinkable and highly recommended. — 10 years ago

F GAUNOUX glorious 1964 pommard rugiens. Impeccable provenance and impeccable wine — 11 years ago
Intense ripe fruit and powerful structure! — 7 years ago
Nice wine that is going to take 8 years in bottle to integrate the fruits and minerality. The dark & mid red fruits show nicely but it still has astringent flavors and mineral bite. Photos of; their tasting room, outside fountain and Napa bud break, just not vine bud break. — 7 years ago
Nice golden color, but not too much so. Heavy in the glass. Amazing complex, fruit forward nose. Notes of apricot, lemon, gravel and cardamom spice. Soft but fine acidity in the mouth with lots of fruit still powering a nice, long finish. 3rd of 3 btls acquired about 5 yrs ago via auction from a consignor known to have a cold cellar and great provenance. This was the best of the 3. Love the old ES foil. One of those great white burg experiences that only white burg can give. — 8 years ago
Ripe berries. Smooth blend. Nice with lasagne. Definitely worth buying more — 8 years ago
I love Cheval Blanc- belongs in the classification of a first growth french wine for sure. The '89 is drinking superbly and possesses a beautiful bouquet of roses/fragrant flowers, and is so powerful yet subtle on the pallet with dark berries, ripe cherries, soft tannins yet powrrful and forward fruit. This wine is underrated and under priced. Seek to acquire from good provenance/reliable sources that have properly stored the wine and you will not be sorry. — 9 years ago
Nice 13 year old Merlot a lovely compliment to rack of lamb @gvcc. — 9 years ago
Surprised how tasty this is for the provenance. Lovely recommendation from our sommelier! The 2013 vintage is doing alright! — 10 years ago
Delicious! Offshoot of Provenance. Full body, berry smoke rich!

Adventures in pulling corks: provenance check. A rare opportunity to try a very top shoulder from '62. A show stopper of a wine! Amazing condition. Excellent storage is the reason. Level was very top shoulder, excellent for age. — 12 years ago
Not the most refined expression of To Kalon but still very nice and good value. After a two hour decant had some nice secondary flavor development. Well balanced and enjoyable. — 7 years ago
Strong start, subtle finish. — 8 years ago
Just another solid Provenance that compliments an Italian meal perfectly with Bordeaux varietals and fruit. — 8 years ago
