Aberlour Distillery

16 Years Old Double Cask Matured Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky

I went to a trade show and one of the exhibtors was giving this away as 1st prize in a drawing. Needless to say the bowl was full of business cards!

Tasted it later in a bar. Very smooth and we'll crafted. Good after dinner sippin'!

Moncaro

Monte Scuro Riserva Red Blend 2012

Going back to a wine I've already tasted, I found out it has the potential for a longer aging. Actually, in one or even better two years it could become an excellent wine.
Moncaro is no stranger to prize-winning products, and this one could set a standard for its territory.

Château La Mission Haut-Brion

Pessac-Léognan Red Bordeaux Blend 1995

Paul Costigan
9.2

1995: The "Oh well, why not" consolation prize wine, opened to keep the conversation going. Classic La Mission nose, very supple and approachable on the palate. Vaporized a bit quickly on the finish, yet wrapped up the evening nicely with a little breeding. — 10 years ago

Teusner

The Riebke Barossa Valley Shiraz 2013

Surprisingly smooth...hardly any pepper and spice like other full bodied Barossa. If anything this wine reminded me of Mclaren Vale. The fruit flavor is typically black and blue...like a prize fighter after twelve rounds. — 11 years ago

Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2012

Big and brooding. A muscular wine. Very high quality can at a great prize. Just released. I did not have enough time to jut down the flavor profile but trust me this is good stuff. — 10 years ago
