2010 amazing. Second time I taste this, and this bottle is even better! — 7 months ago
Last bottle of the ‘20, all of which have been superb. Nose shows a range of fruit, ranging from apple to gooseberry to even tropical notes. But none too cloyingly ripe. There’s also a classic, intense gun-flinty minerality that is so perfect. Intense and soft in the mouth, with fruit and minerality in equipoise, and nice but unobtrusive acids propelling a very long and minerally finish. Upper echelon Pouilly-Fume. — 8 months ago
Exquisite, really smooth, light and drinkable with just about any fish dish. Will for sure get again — 5 years ago
Medium-ish body but still tastes light and refreshing. Love it! — 5 years ago
Open. Pear nice acid. Very nice. — 7 years ago
A very casual Sauvignon Blanc from the very upper and eastern side of the Loire River in France. A more flinty and brighter acidity to its neighbor Sancerre (across the river to the west). Some Quincy notes and taste as well. The citrusy is not over the top. Easy to drink! — 6 months ago
All about texture. Viscous and luscious, very shy in the nose but pristine in the harmony between tight yet ripe herbal character, minerality and nutty bitterness. Long finish. Needs time to develop intensity — 8 months ago
Not a white drinker but this is great - cheese and prosciutto pairing quite perfectly — 5 years ago
A gem @ $35 Serve at 50-55°. Give it between 30-60 minute decant and watch its aromatics evolve. — 6 years ago
Very forward for a Loire Valley Sauvignon Blanc. Tropical fruit with some minerality on the nose. Persistent but not overpowering acidity with enough body to match. Some residual sugar on the palette as well. — 7 years ago
Vintage unknown, 2021 entered below. Our first Loire S b. Loved it. Couldn’t detect any “fume”. Will try a Sancerre next to compare. At WA Frost w W & friends. — 7 months ago
Pale lemon color with aromas of citrus, stone fruits and flinty floral earthy notes this morning, vineyards held by Lafond and Ladoucette families since 1787, purchased from daughter of Louis XV. On the palate flavors of crisp apple and lemon citrus with notes of white flowers and garden spice. Medium+ finish, vivid acidity ending with citrus and mineral spice. Nice! — 8 months ago
Nice dry white. — 10 months ago
Pale yellow with a nose of green apple & pear with some oak. In the mouth it’s quite smooth with a slight buttery feel and green apple, grapes and pear. Oak is there as well and while dry, a slight hint of sweetness. Very nice! — 3 years ago
Lemongrass and minerals. Lovely! — 6 years ago
A perfect sushi wine. $28 as a SommSelect choice. 2nd time around. Can’t be beat for the price. Decant 30 minutes. — 7 years ago
