Works well with shrimp and spaetzle. Nice fruit and crisp acidity to pair with a buttery dish. — 8 years ago

Great with bone in filet @ Chamberlains steakhouse — 9 years ago
No age needed it's a pop-n-pour bottle. Kinda of a crossover wine for lack of better words. Sauvignon Blanc and Viognier creates power yet misses the finesse element. Fig, cream, anise and honeysuckle. Tasting mineral, cream and fennel round out this spiced simmering finish. — 9 years ago
ALDI's top shelf Shiraz and I was pleasantly surprised. At $20, it's up there with Pepperjacks 2014, and more mature in the bottle. — 9 years ago
Amazing, I'm no connoisseur, but this was a wonderful wine! I would definitely buy again!

This is Round Pound Estate's first vintage of their new gravel series wines. Small production from tiny parcels of their vineyards. This one is called the Vow and its cab sav from a tiny row of vines from their estate in Rutherford. It is a beautiful showing of quintessential Rutherford fruit. With a nose of Caramel, strawberries, and a hint of burnt cedar, this wine explodes on the palate with sugar plums, sweet tannin and that signature Rutherford dust and mocha. Really well done and anyone who likes round pond needs to spoil themselves with this. — 10 years ago
Nectarine, lemon and whiff of petrol. Off dry with mineral streak and fresh lemony acid. More German than Oz. — 10 years ago
Completely drinkable and worn break the bank. $18 at the winery. — 12 years ago

Mid crimson in colour. Tarry savoury berry aromas. On the palate medium to full bodied with earth tar and liquorice ~ typical of mature Heathcote. Tannins resolved. The 15.5%ABV largely hidden. Amazing intensity and flavour considering its age - powerful in fact - also some sweetness. Jasper Hill largely contributed to putting Heathcote on the map. — 6 years ago
