First wine we tried at the Oakton Wine Shop's 5th year anniversary celebration. Very light pink and clear. Lots of tropical fruits on the nose, with some citrus and watermelon undertones. Moderate acidity (6/10) and light bodied. Palate was coated with strawberries and citrus fruits. Long dry finish. Drink till 2019. — 9 years ago
If Pol is a great summer time champers this is probably best in front of a roaring log fire in the middle of winter. A substantial heartier champers with its higher Pinot Noir content showing through. A lovely contrast to the Pol Roger. — 10 years ago

A rare wine from Pol Roger-magnum from 1990; tiraged for the year 2000; so good; never tasted before; now an eventful wine; mature brulee style, nice honey, taut acid, all there. #drinkchampagne #champagne #polroger #year2000 #rare — 10 years ago
Five years cork age on this beauty; glad the decision was taken to drink (now who relies on natural cork); wildly full of pinot noir development; nose heaviness; layers of mature pinot tertiary aromatics; such as herbal oils, deep nuts, mushroom, aged yeast bits too; drunk with raw scallop, celery, fennel shavings, mullet bottarga; dressed with lime, olive oil; Pol brings out the savouriness of the green vegetables; salt of the sea, sweetness of scallop; all veges home grown; palate is full on; powerful, not the massiveness of Winston Churchill but same mould; square wine which hardly tapers in the mouth; the amazing feats of champagne! @polroger #polroger #champagne #1999 #pinot — 11 years ago

Un vin parfaitement maîtrisé et complexe, par un vigneron qui fait ce qu'il aime pas de contrainte lié aux appellations. Je recommande vivement ce vigneron Peter Fischer — 9 years ago
Domaine Aimé. 100% Cabernet Franc - 2013. Red languedoc wine. Elegant & highly approachable. 12-14% alcohol percentage. Jammy berry fruits start to quietly emerge 30 minutes after pouring. Far more sophisticated than the $12 price tag suggests. Great grip & complexity with a fruit forward nose. Will drink again. — 10 years ago
An excellent wine to toast to our cruise! Thanks NCL! — 10 years ago
— 10 years ago

Lingonberry and pumpkin spice - complex. Bubbles from 93’ are still hanging on a bit! The palette is outstanding - gentle attack that builds in weight to a finish that lingers wonderfully. — 7 years ago
