Wonderful Tuscan blend. Drank it with family at Vito's in Pacific Grove: recommended by Vito. — 11 years ago
Hey, you like wine? Cool. Me too. You should try this one. It's delightfully smooth up front and ever so slightly spicy & dry towards the end. It's like if Benedict Cumberbatch and Sofia
Vergara had a rap battle officiated by Marlon Brando (as Don Vito) about the origins of the California wine industry and you had a front row seat. Yeah. — 11 years ago

Heitz Cellar 1987 Martha's Vineyard Cabernet. Smoky, big, but tannins are smooth. Decanted. Lots of sediment. Great with lasagna and cream sauce pasta. Fucking old. Had at Vito in Santa Monica for 6th anniversary. — 12 years ago
So so good, real fancy. — 10 years ago
Slightly cloudy gold color (unfiltered) with lime zest, honeysuckle, and stone fruit aromas. On the palate, it's full-bodied, fresh, and very persistent with a wonderfully supple texture. Flavor-wise it shows white peach, lime, honey, and a suggestion of persimmon flavors with a long mineral laced finish. Bottled unfiltered. Battonage during 6 months sur lie aging in large oak casks impart some complexity and a wonderful creaminess. 13% alcohol — 11 years ago
