Tasted blind. Dark tawny color. Translucent but barely so. Fragrant nose. Italian is the first verbal guess. Notes of black cherry, black soil, rose petals and some wood. Chewy in the mouth. Young and refined. After debating if it's an 89 or a 90 Barolo I go with a guess of 82 Giacosa SS Barbaresco. A great treat to try this side by side against the 78 Conterno Monfortino. Giacosa wins tonight. — 8 years ago

Nice fruit and light, not as much tannins, smokiness too, some baking spices maybe. Cherries definitely, not as weighty in the mouth. — 10 years ago
Has the spicy crush but super vanilla before that. Delicious. — 11 years ago
I like this one. Es un malbec especial, se sinte picoso y alcoholico. Solo hay que dejarlo respirar un poco, ea delicioso en olor y consistencia.

2003: Intense ruby red. Sour cherries, sweet tobacco and violets. Well-amalgamated scents of spices and fruit. Firm texture, high yet balanced acidity that makes the wine very pleasant to drink. Persistent, with fruity notes. (Duemilavini) — 13 years ago
