Sipping this delightful Prosecco while enjoying Andrea Bocelli as he presents “Music for Hope” live from the Duomo di Milano. As we all pray for hope during this terrible scourge. The wine is an 8.4 but our collective resolve is a 10. Cheers 🥂🇮🇪🇺🇸🇨🇦 — 6 years ago
Excellent Tuscan Chianti. Just 4.05€!! Classic example: cherries, violets, dry finish, but with a little spice. Lovely! — 7 years ago

Great wine for dark chocolate and/sharp cheese combo. — 9 years ago
This is a fine Aglianico that is honest and well-crafted but not for the faint of heart. Intensely gamey cured meat aromas dominate the profile up front followed by tar, licorice, fennel, smoke and violets. Mid palate is supple and silken, suggesting flavors of dried currants and peppermint candy. The finish brings a decidedly dry and ferrous minerality that screams for animal flesh, so I strongly suggest you heed that most primal call. Showing very strong concentration and firm tannic grip at nearly age 10. Seems to drink more gracefully in Burgundy glasses, and still has some maturing to do. An outstanding value and will delight the senses of those who appreciate Italian rusticity and classic food pairings from the South (THIS guy). — 6 years ago
Smooth, deep Cherry spices, has a body to it. Paired with lamb loin, game savory cheeses — 7 years ago
Dark plum, raspberry, leather, smoke, wood floor, mushroom, medium plus acid, medium plus tannin. Really nice — 8 years ago
Very bright wine with power character. It is fantastic wine with notes of dark fruites and berries, pepper and cinnamon, chocolate and coffee, wet earth and minerals. Light note of honey in aftertaste. — 8 years ago

There is a bit of caramel, licorice and cherry with some rose petal scent on this nose. A wide spectrum of scents and feelings to associate it with. The palate is really easy going with a good acid drive, rather straight forward, some matter, some grip on the sides, a spherical mid palate and tannins which tend to expand it and make it wider before a finish with red fruit notes and a fresh after taste that last for a while. Second attempt with this wine in this vintage and it clearly leads me to dig dipper into bardolinos. — 5 years ago
Love this. A glass or two by the pool. Fantastic. Pears and peaches. Stainless steel fermentation. — 7 years ago
Bright red. Sweet spice, ripe red cherry, licorice and flowers on the nose and in the mouth. Smooth and bright, and though not exactly the last word in concentration or complexity, this is downright irresistible in its juicy, fruity appeal. Podere Brizio recently changed ownership and now belongs to Dievole, the Chianti Classico producer (Podere Brizio’s previous owner, Roberto Bellini, is the man who sold the Chiesa di Santa Restituta estate to Gaja, who renamed it Pieve di Santa Restituta). Can't believe it was a sub 20 euro wine. Deep and smooth - don't know they managed that. — 8 years ago
