Absolutely lovely with the inspired cuisine of red hen in dc. A must go —or at least to one of their group for Italian wines — 7 years ago
Anno 2011. Ingresso quasi formaggioso al naso, dove non si esprime al meglio, ma in bocca viene fuori il verdicchio, fresco, minerale, glicerico, inconfondibile. Chapeau — 8 years ago
Hailing from Gallura, the only DOCG in Sardinia, this Vermentino hits you with salty brine, castelvetrano olive, warm nuts and green fruit. Palate shows an initial burst of acidity, paired with green apple, pear and citrus fruits. This is balanced out with a finish of Brazil nuts, macadamias, and cream. Makes you want to drink more Vermentino. — 9 years ago
Wow!! So much life in this Rioja! It kept opening up more as dinner progressed! Such an impressive wine for 32 years old, my birth year! — 10 years ago

Piero Incisa de la Rochetta’s (Sassicaia) pinot noir project in Patagonia, Argentina continues to deliver impressive results such as this mind blowing release, Sin Azufre. Natural wine at its best displaying tipicity, personality and approachability. For anyone into elegant Pinots with freshness, balance and value, look no further. — 6 years ago

Etna Bianco comparative wine study. Single vineyard: Milo. 3300ft ASL. Aged in large neutral french oak. 2010 was an amazing vintage for most of Italy, and Federico Curtaz gets Etna fruit. (A Winebow import, I should claim.) — 10 years ago
It's amazing how this grape matures in #Andalucía. Who needs cabernet and merlot?#schatz #vinosvivos — 11 years ago
Excellent Merlot in purity from Colli Bolognesi — 12 years ago
This wine is like a mullet; serious up front, and party in the back.
The serious side reminds me of a Barbera; dark and red fruits with hints of pepper corn and green herbs. Then BOOM a playful spritz dances on your tongue and lifts the fruit profile to something reminiscent of confectionary cherries.
This wine pairs perfectly with wood-fired takeout pizza and friends who break apart wines as much as yourself! — 7 years ago
Dark chocolate, leather, raspberry. 2008 Vintage, turning towards garnet in color. Long finish. She keeps taking my glass from me. Bottle description says "Sangiovese based blend as an expression of our love of super Tuscan style wines. " Rich and delicious. Thank you Stephanie Maxwell! — 8 years ago

When your 2&1/2yo looks across at you and asks"Is it Rousseau?" You know that 1. She may have peaked early 2. You're going to need a 2nd mortgage 3. Her future partner better big it up on the #FilthyGoodVino 4. You've taught her one of the most valuable lessons in life! BOOM! — 11 years ago
Zoiks, that's a beauty of a Dolcetto. Rich, balanced, and elegant in a rustic Dolcetto-y kinda way. Pure, expressive fruit. — 11 years ago
Imported by Kobrand. From Piero Incisa della Rochetta, grandson and heir apparent to the founder of Tenuta San Guido, of Sassicaia fame. He fell in love with a Patagonian Pinot Noir at a tasting in New York, traveled to the Argentina and discovered two abandoned Pinot vineyards from 1932 and 1955. This wine blends those two and one more recently planted vineyard. Pinot from the desert. — 12 years ago

Reasonable complexity on a relatively open and oxidised base, but a little short. Probably drunk a little to quickly and in the wrong company (the wine, not the people). Perhaps not the best bottle but holding up remarkably well. — 6 years ago
