Pattes Loup (Thomas Pico)

Chablis Chardonnay 2014

Intense mineral, a surprising hint of strawberry. The fruit is pretty fat, given how tight and acid this is. — 5 years ago

El Pico Tempranillo

La Mancha Spain
Tried this on its own. Very nice, easy drinking. Would definitely be good with the recommendations below:
Staff Selection (Roger Clark): “This is a typical medium-bodied Tempranillo, showing both ripe and slightly dried fruit flavors along with intriguing spice notes. Because the wine is beautifully balanced to begin with, it succeeds in a number of different ways. It can be thoroughly enjoyable on its own but also try it with savory chicken and pork dishes.”

Cien y Pico

Doble Pasta Manchuela Garnacha Tintorera 2008

2008, Cien Y Pico, Doble Pasta Garnacha Tintorera, Manchuela. Hundred year old Grenache vines on their own rootstock. Heavy extraction and probably no fining nor filtering. Intense red and black berry flavors, countered with a lot of spice. Not your typical Grenache but very tasty. Glad I have 2 more. — 10 years ago

Azores Wine Co.

António Macanita Arinto dos Açores

Volcanic Verdelho do Pico (different from the Portuguese mainland Verdelho, also known as Godello in Spain) from vineyards located on 3 different islands - Pico, Graciosa and S. Miguel- in the Azores archipelago. Virtually at sea level and unusually close to the Ocean, vines grow on very poor volcanic basalt soils, surrounded by traditional stone-walled “currais” to protect them from the extreme Atlantic winds. Salty and mineral. Thirst-quenching acidity. Passion fruit. 🌋 🌋 — 5 years ago

Pico Maccario

Villa Della Rosa Piemonte Bianco

Not much on the nose, but this is a very nice white. 80% chard gives it boday and lit oak. 20% Favorita lightens it up to remind me of a heavy pinot grogio. Great with or without food. Yum!

Azores Wine Company

António Macanita Arinto dos Açores 2017

Very nice white wine from the Azores. Indigenous grape, Arinto, from the Pico area. Lots of unripe citrus peel and stone on the nose. Mouth filling and precise with excellent acid and a long finish. Expressive yet restrained. Great savory saline quality - a wine to be enjoyed over some time as it unfolds. Excellent with oysters and other seafood. — 5 years ago

Signature Series António Macanita Terrantez do Pico 2015

Azorerna, wow! 1413 flaskor totalt! — 7 years ago
